Woods: Do we know any German scientist Oscar? Powell: It's not Einstein who isn't Einstein ? Sutcliffe:Planck? Woods:Max Planck Paxman: Correct! That's what i call team work!
Sorry to be so offtopic but does anyone know a method to get back into an Instagram account? I was dumb forgot the account password. I love any tricks you can give me.
Clever, calm, cool, collected, and a superb captain, Hannah Woods is one of the best leaders I've seen on this programme. Her team were lucky to have her. I first saw this series years ago but she has stuck in my mind ever since, and it was great to watch it all again.
Catastrophic outcome-- I really liked the St John's team. But in any case... it's been a brilliant season, and Peterhouse fielded an excellent team. Thanks so much for posting these! Really looking forward to its return in a couple of months. Seems so far away, though... :O)
Powell is clearly a science whizz, but doesn't seem too clued up on European languages. He fails to realise that in that context "expériences" would mean "experiments", giving "New Experiments Concerning the Void" rather than his overly literal translation of "New Experiences touching emptiness", and "über" would mean "on" as in "on the subject of" rather than "over".
Perhaps surprising that in a final, the contestants' performance is that far apart. Also surprising that the Peterhouse team lacks diversity in extremis, but perhaps University Challenge has a bit of a bias towards history (the questions about convexity and complex analysis notwithstanding)? Anyhow, great that Pet one, well done guys! - Jochen [Pet'01]
Aww, I love Powell. Langley is more my bag, but I definitely still would. Can't wait to find out who wins, even though this was 2 years ago and I could just Google it haha.

Cool under pressure. 😎
Something so comforting about Woods as a captain.

@Marcus Nash Instablaster ;)
Half her job is just reigning in Powell's neuroticisms and she does it well
@Ramboost007 yes during the bonus question segment a good captain knows who to call on and how to keep their team calm and under control.
I got so hyped when I got the Carbon Monoxide question.
Marie tha Misanthrope same
Surprised they didn't
Marie tha Misanthrope haha same

Love the way Woods answers. So classy and beautiful
So majestic and self possessed. She also looks really kind.
@@andrea22213 Almost Queen-like....
That's a disastrous scoreline. Not a final I expected at all!
IKR?! ST JOHN'S SCORE OVER 200 IN THEIR FIRST MATCH, AND THEY PLAY LIKE THIS?????????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@@Satire-yj9jqI think they were just demoralised-they played so well in previous rounds!

This was my favourite season, very entertaining.
They gather the people with the most expressive faces for these shows

As they said the losing team had such hard bonus questions, really was bad luck because they'd been very good up until then.
The juxtaposition of Powell and Woods is wonderful and hilarious
University challenge is back this Monday the opening match the University of Sheffield vs the university of Bristol
27:00 Powell is an absolute cutie here

There's always one who sits on the end, complete passenger.....

What was the ravel one called?
Years later, but if you mean the music at 14:04, the author is Rachmaninoff and the title is "Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini"
Why were all or most questions on history
because everything has a history, including maths, sciences, philosophy, theology, every society and every human being...
Does Powell think he's a team of one like? 😂😂 #wetwipe

It's widely accepted as fact that Oscar Powell knows more than Google!
Watch their QF match, it’s a belter. This, well someone’s gotta win blah blah #hapax legomenom
Are these average "jeopardy" level questions or are those too elementary compared to these?
These questions make Jeopardy look like a cake walk
I can imagine a ytp of this 😂
people from the north who speak with a southern accent piss me off, but thats cause im from yorkshire and im a borderline idiot
Not everyone who's from the North has an accent, same for south west etc. It's not even a choice.
Awesome.
