This would unironically be such a good podcast, just record yourself saying something and responding to it then edit it to sound like your talking to someone 💀
I love the art- the background is simplistic and detailed at the same time, and the style is super relaxing and cute. I've been getting more into music lately, so I look forward to watching this pod!
Hey this is the first time I’ve checked in with the sleep deprived crew in a while and seeing Astro be trans is really cool as an mtf teen myself starting her transition. Being a fan of yours and then this happening is really cool for me :)
SAME HERE!!! I’m mtf and i was checking out sleep deprived. I’ve known of its existence for a while but i never really watched until recently and learning about astro made me feel so good!
Had no clue aztro was dabbling with she/her pronouns! Super happy to know this is a safe place. Congrats girly, we gettin out this dysphoria together! ❤️
i had known lilac boy before; love the track seahorse song. i'd also known aztro for a while, been following her youtube content for a long time. but i only just now discover that they're the same person?? my worlds are colliding and it is awesome :D astrid, i'm very happy for the progress you've made in your music/ content creation career. love your stuff
i think this is the most real ive seen Alex. astrid tends to be pretty personal even when making jokes also i swear everyone starts on Garageband and audacity
I'm so happy I received this in my recommended from being a fan of the sleep deprived podcast and a huge music lover who hopes to someday be in the music industry in the future I just know this is going to be my all-time favorite podcast, and I can't wait to hear what you two discuss!
Fuck yeah!!!! Was just about to mention those guys, I really really do hope they cover them! Holy fuck never thought I'd encounter another fan in the wild!!!!!!!
@glebcannotyoutube Streetlight, I started listening to their stuff a little over a year ago and have been a freak ever since, basically listened to Tomas Kalnoky's whole discography (still haven't listened to GIMP yet though)
i never see a podcast and think “wow i really want to listen to that it looks so cool!!” until just now omfg two of my favorite youtubers talking all about music?? this sounds so so cool i cannot wait to see what you two do with this :))
I will store the existence of this podcast in a very deep, locked off sector of my mind as I don't want to remember the two of them breaking into my house and pummeling me into the floor unprovoked
omg so i actually wasn't tripping when i saw the thumbnail and thought "hey, that looks like a aztro vid" i have a feeling this might become my favorite podcast
I like this idea of a podcast a lot, and I'll definately be a regular listener I think! I'm newer to music, I've only made a few songs in highschool, did guitar, did trumpet, did harmonica, did piano- but I don't know how to play any of those instruments besides the bare minimum for some and nothing for others. I'd like to know piano proper, but pianos are expensive. Right now, I'm trying to get my record player working, that's my biggest musical persuasion for 2023. Yeah. I didn't start listening to music properly until I was in highschool, before then I just didn't listen to music really, just whatever was on from my parents. My dad liked steam powered giraffe, gorillas, and old dad rock/metal, and my mom the beatles and the monkeys and dolly parton. I started with my own music taste listening to Ska-punk, with Streetlight Manifesto. I don't really like ska as much as I like punk, and Streetlight Manifesto is amazing for that, and I then learned Catch 22 was too, the album Permanent Revolution is really good from them. That kinda led into me liking Andrew Jackson Jihad/AJJ quite a lot, which got me my first job unironicially, and collecting random music from the internet on spotify. I found Red Vox (which i recently learned is vinny vinesauce's band) and Death Grips that way. A band I like called Sarchasm I learned from a book about an agender person getting their skirt set on fire, it was a required school reading in highschool. I think my real musical awakening was listening to Tally Hall during the resurgence, and learning of Lemon Demon, and Jack Stauber and stuff. Louie Zong is good too, I like his work a lot. He introduced me to Dungeon Punk, which is really good. Worthikids is also a good artist I really like, his music is impeccable. You two should listen to Hawaii: Part II if you havent by the way, and Spirit Phone but that album I bet you two have heard. Either would make a good episode to talk about, those albums, because they have so much to conversate about for very different reasons. I hope you two have a fun time with this podcast, the artstyle and feel is very cozy and fun. It's relaxed and soft and like I think I could eat it like a cookie or something. Astrid's design and shelf compared to Alex's is nice, I like her design juxtaposed to his because hers is more my jive and also more complex, while his is simple and relaxed, it's a nice balance, I like them both. Also checkers are really nice, I but like skapunk so i'm biased. Maybe I'll try and experiment and listen to whatever you two review even if I'm not interested, maybe I'll find new tastes.
you have great taste i 🫶 all those bands!!! i saw ajj live a few months back with the front bottoms and it was one of the best shows ive ever been to! what’s your favorite ajj album?
yooo I like most of the artists you mentioned!!! (steam powered giraffe, Tally Hall, Lemon Demon, Jack Stauber, Worthikids and ESPECIALLY Red Vox), my favourite genre is indie/experimental rock :3
@@Dia06 its all good stuff, i really recommend AJJ and Streetlight for a touch in an odd direction, Knife Man and The Hands that Thieve are both delightful
Super excited to see where this podcast is going, seems like itl be nice and chill, also didnt know astro was she/they , that's awsome to hear congratulations ,all round hopeful for this podcast in the next year
Wow, what a cool forum! Kinda weird it has a podcast above it, but anyway In 2021 I started tuning my instagram ad algorithm to only show me indie music artists and it was one of the best decisions I ever made. I figured, instead of being bombarded with companies and brands, I'd much rather support the people who spent their last 20 bucks on an ad to get their passion and hard work out there. I've kept it up ever since and sometimes now I'll scroll through just to see the ads, because I know I'm gonna discover some banger music that way! I've even formed some good friendships with artists, because they'll just get so excited that anyone is listening and letting them know what they think. I love being able to listen to music by people I can easily connect to and tell them how much I appreciate their music. It's really kept me going, being surrounded by all that creativity and artistic expression. Thanks for makin a place I can come and yap about music, you two, it came at the exact time that I am so very normal and calm and collected about indie music. I'm clawing at the walls
took a lot of courage to do what they do, and I just think its great they can be themselves. been a long time viewer of you astrid. you helped made me laugh in dark times. thanks for existing and being yourself. much love, and GL with the pod.
love to see these 2 talk about music cant wait to listen to yall talk. anyways since this is a forum now ive been really into this small band called "hot freaks" i bought their album "hot freaks forever" on vinyl i would love to see more attention brought to them !

super excited for this. you two have a chill vibe thats perfect for the forum stuff mentioned and i cant wait for you guys to dive into stuff that you're passionate abt. also cant wait to hear some new music reccs and thoughts on the stuff im already into
this seems interesting, cant wait to see what kinds of music you guys talk about. ive always wanted a place to sort of nerd out about music, especially because i have perfect pitch and can differentiate different sounds within a song the same way a music program can. it will be interesting breaking down songs into their base parts and seeing how they interact with eachother, as well as analyzing those songs you were talking about, like classical and dubstep
OMG dude every time i heard mika talk about alex uknown, i had no idea that that was him! I always thought he was just a stan of some band😭 but thats so cool!! wow, these two goofy goobers have great chemistry!!! crazy to see them both in the same podcast!!
imagine schlatt takes this over after he releases his Christmas album
I would cry
he better not
Schlatt has enough control over SD. There is no room for him in this cozy podcast.
