I think the the ASMFC in the US needs to wake up and enact similar protections for our striped bass. The chesapeake bay stock if fish has been in serious decline due to over harvesting.
They arent as protected as you think up here. Lots of poaching, a lot of people would rather kill them and "save" the salmon.
