    • @SchweinerSchinkler
      @SchweinerSchinkler ปีที่แล้ว

      But lewis and max are crucified every time they raise their voice or criticize one of the teams decision. It’s just extreme bias and double standards. Norris fans criticize other drivers but justify the same thing when norris does it. It’s obviously not exclusive for norris fans. It’s crazy how every time lewis or max make a mistake or whine the opposing fans absolute demolish the driver but when it’s the other way around they defend him.
      Im tempted to say it’s mostly the fault of verstappen fans because I don’t remember the community being that toxic before verstappen. It’s a sad sight so see a horde of wasted men smoking out the track and harassing women. But both fan bases have issues but max fans are definitely worse. Maybe because they are younger bcs max isn’t in the sport as long and younger drivers attract younger fans?
      But we seriously need to stop being biased to a point where we ignore facts and twist reality to fit our point. It’s gotten so bad I don’t really watch the f1 yt channel anymore. Max and lewis are probably the best drivers on the grid and will both be top 5 of all time but the toxicity and the hatred in this community is so bad that some fans have the audacity to say that max or lewis are completely overrated average drivers. Saying that completely ruins your credibility for obvious reasons.
      But nothing will change max fans and lewis fans will hate on each other every chance they get. I sometimes wonder what kind of people they are. 100% basement dwelling virgins with a couch full of dorito dust and sperm

  • @y_fam_goeglyd
    @y_fam_goeglyd ปีที่แล้ว +12

    I'd say he knows his mind - and he knows how his race and car are going! He - _just like every other driver should_ - is telling them as simply as possible, and as quickly as possible, what is wrong and what, if he has an idea (i.e. it's not the car doing something weird and out of his experience), to do about it.
    He's driving at incredible speeds and can get around some of the shorter laps in not much over a minute. So even if the car starts doing something odd, or the nature of the race changes moments after he's passed pit entry, to be most efficient he has a matter of seconds to tell his engineer something is wrong, and the team has at most about a minute (at the short tracks) to decide on a solution. He hasn't got time for niceties and politeness, and neither does the team. They can apologize to each other after the race if necessary.
    They are in no way unusual in how they speak to each other. It's how they deal with each other at the times when the driver _isn't_ in the car that matters. Apparently Max brings GP an ice cream as a peace offering, according to Horner. It works for them. (I'm only mentioning Max & GP because it's what I heard most recently. I'm not being biased or anything dumb like that. Unfortunately, I need to say that because some people will take this the wrong way 🤦🏻‍♀️)
    The best engineer-driver relationships always seem to have a "moaning shorthand" if you pay attention to them. The engineer can have their own moans about the driver's actions too. We hear from Horner that with Max & GP, they're like an "old married couple"; bickering one moment and joking soon after, and 100% respectful and trusting of each other despite how it might sound to us in edited clips. It's probably much the same with Lewis & Bono, and any other successful "pairing". Rob Smedley & "Felipe Baby" being such an example that Rob left Ferrari to go to Williams with him!
    I dare say it's been like that between the best "couples" since two-way radio was introduced. We just didn't get it broadcast on TV. It's only pretty recently that we've got to hear anything other than congratulations or commiserations at the end of a race. We didn't even used to get the "are you okay? -- yes, I'm fine" messages, delayed or otherwise.
    The media and fans should let the team alone regarding what is said during a race, when adrenaline is surging on both sides of the radio. Would _you_ like your worst moments of your workday to be globally broadcast for non-experts to "analyse" (only having a tiny bit of data to work with)? I certainly wouldn't have liked it. And yes, it is a good analogue, particularly for those of us who are skilled at what we do (I include hard manual labour, because that often requires skill _and_ a lot of pressure!).
    This is one of the reasons why I would happily go back to the time when we only heard the congrats or commiserations at the end, maybe with a "yes, I'm fine" after a crash (although if that's _not_ broadcast on some occasions, even though everything is ok, it would make me worry!) Drivers should be able to do their jobs without worrying about what the media is going to say about them later.

    he's a f1 driver, streamer when off season (?) and human, we have out outburst. he is still young and has huge potential, if his team and McLaren take it as constructive rather then destructive and help him then that's all that can be said, he is growing and he is getting better along with his team

    He's never truly raked the team over the coals in a radio message, I think some people forget how heightened and snappy one can get while under an intense situation of focus and the fact that the entire race is a situation like that. Brain doesn't have enough time to always turn a frantic thought or sudden response into a cordial one - Lando's engineer gets it, and when something particularly snappy or rude comes out I'm pretty positive Lando's more embarrassed than anyone in the team is upset with him over those moments.

    Lando’s radio conversations are something else I must say.
    I think F1 gains from drivers’ verbal frustration. Spectator POV.
    As long as he’s talented as he his, it’s more than ok with me. Do we now have « bwoaah » « steering wheel » « the drink » « I know what I’m doing » as memes for nothing ?

    Why is everyone’s first thought whenever a driver and their engineer are having a private conversation is “the driver is moaning”, they’re not moaning they are talking to their engineers and having to focus on driving and getting a point across isn’t easy. Worst of all it’s only a select few drivers are “known” to moan because of the media are portraying them that way
