    Foolproof method: attempt to flick off stem of avocado. If it yields & flesh is pure green beneath, it’s perfect (continue to ripen or microwave briefly if no time to ripen to desired degree.) If flesh is turning brown beneath the stem: No Good/avoid. If stem won’t flick off: Too Unripe/avoid.     We ❤ adding 100% organic cacao powder to blender drinks & for hot cocoa… warm ur milk, whisk in 2T cacao, add dashes espresso powder/salt/cinnamon. Sweeten with allulose, yacon or date syrup. Off heat add dash vanilla extract ❤🎉

    Research indicates that lead and cadmium get into cocoa in different ways. For cadmium, it appears that the cocoa plant takes it up from the soil. Lead, however, can be deposited on the cocoa beans after harvest, potentially from dust and soil as beans dry outdoors

      Yeah. Heavy metals. Bummer. Moderation is key. Ghirardelli has been shown to be within limits in lab testing. Good to know with the holidays upon us😂

    I love all foods and drinks you mentioned in this video. The pomegranate juice…..I drank it for the first time in Jordan, fresh pressed, so delicious. Recently I saw here at the market in Amsterdam, that they press pomegranates too . They sell it in two size bottles 👍🏼

    Dr Li. How about adding SAMBAL in your dish/ noodles/ ramen and salad as well. My favorite secret ingredient actually😂 in salads as well Yes pomegranate. Mango n chickpeas n celery in salad Friends say it’s exotic😢dish!!

    I've started grating a little 100% chocolate on my nuts,dates and yoghurt. My tongue thinks it's full fat bowl of chocolate pudding so I get my fix😊

    I did some Internet research on cacao. There is a lot of talk about toxins in the cacao. Dr Li, since you’re a strong proponent of cacao as a healthy food, please address this concern.

    I taking atorvastatin 10mg once a day for cholesterol so now must take avocado for my cholesterol wow so happy to know that food is medicine

      I take berberine and red yeast rice. I don't have any other comorbidities so my internist is ok with me moving forward with only supplements but we're monitoring it every 3 months.

    And I'd like to add a think : absolutely no gluten bread is healthy. The body doesn't know how to deal with it we just p**p it just as it was ingested. The body will sacrifice the minerals to get rid of it because it's a easy combination, it irritates your guts we already know that but it's actually creating nervous system chronic diseases in the first place. And joints pain too.
    See for yourself there's a good Ted ex about that by an allergist specialised in food allergies.

      Green tea, like black tea, comes from the leaves of camellia sinensis and is a "true" tea. Hibiscus and blue pea are flowers. They are classified as herbal tea.

    Good Dr tel you what to eat bad Dr give medicine and doesn’t care what you eat , I learn this when I was kid . He is the only Dr I listen to and I don’t have insurance I don’t go to doctors I don’t trust medicine giver doctors , this is how my father lived till 95 without going to Doctors😂

    My problem is once I've eaten a meal (avocado and toast , papaya, and black coffee) im done for the day and im still getting that belly bulge🙂
