Give special care to what sounds like slurs down an arpeggio. It's going to make a major difference in the feel of the piece. I don't remember all of my technicals on scales! 6:34 - 8:29 Prancing J-Settes... the Boom is playing support on this piece. You must understand how I feel about this routine as a work of art. At 8:06, the Kingdom of Eurasia faces its final moments. 8:34 - 10:44 Strategically solid move. 10:50 - 13:29 Answering the call. Give special care to the chords supporting the melody and counter-melodies. When supporting chords have too much volume, the piece will feel off balance. Nice finish. 13:33 - 15:13 Kind of like having an eight or nine of diamonds in a good ole' fashion game of spades. 15:20 - 16:41 What a great driving choice! It really advanced the group's momentum. Exceptionally clean. 16:44 - 18:00 Incredible opening! AAMU can operate in that range all the time. Three weeks. Also, based on the arrangement, it was an excellent choice for energy matching. 18:07... 19:00 - 19:55 BIG 🃏
No lie in these other bands it’s all Euphos and Tubas dats pulling da Bands….. not JSU….Da BOOM got all the Sections….. Mellos can push harder but Dey good wur Dey atttttttttttt….no lie

But JSU once again sets themselves apart, they just have that sound 🤷🏾♂️🔥 but I think I hard a slight deduction at 11:00 and 18:14 😂 I could be wrong lol I see JSU brings out the best in people 😂 All their battles have been lit so far 💪🏾💯…. Except for that Grambling one 😂

They haven't gotten to that point yet, but that was the complaint I had with SU for many years. They would get lazy with just having a bunch of trumpets masking bad notes. Trumpfunk is still doing well for the most part. I only hear a few bad notes here and there. But they are definitely the best trumpet section in HBCU bands
