I found out season 4 was the last one when I started watching it, so I didn't have time to mentally prepare.

It's been pretty hard on all of us, people felt down for days if not weeks (and it still hurts). It passes eventually and you focus on the good stuff and don't consider the finale as canon. For me, it stopped when they stole the van. Whatever happened after that? Don't care.
