Lovely tune and I really like the angle you have used for filming your mandolin... I found it very helpful. Thank you

The word you're searching for is "ornaments"; combinations of duplet and triplet grace notes.

I have a quick question. I am completely blind. Does Sierra explain everything in a way that you could hear, what does she use a lot of demonstrations that might require one to see?

I'm doing the course with Sierra, and although there are a lot of helpful videos to watch with different angles etc, in the lesson videos, and the sheet music is available, she helps you to learn by ear and repeats things a lot in small chunks at least in the beginners section. Also, since you can submit videos to her, if there were any things that hadn't been clear I'm sure she'd clear it up for you in her video response. She seems a very accomodating and kind teacher / person.

@@maryyoungviolinist thank you for the info. If she says things like put your pic at this angle, or your mandolin this particular way, that might be a little tricky for me. I am a beginner, but not a completely new player. I have been playing for a little over a year now, and just want to get some more technique down.

@@superblindeye1 I think if you let her know you are blind she would work with what you are able to do with video (could you get a friend to help getting a good angle?). But also, I'm sure she would be able to help you with mandolin technique as well and adapt what she says so it makes sense if she knows you are blind. You could always try it for a short period and see what you think!

@@superblindeye1 I'll try and mention this conversation to her in the chat box on artistworks and see if she replies. She is quite busy so might miss it but I'll try!
