That moment when you check the lyrics to Suteki Da Ne and notice half of the chorus basically translates to "And I want to go to your city / To your home, into your arms." When it finally happens in this game, is the happiest moment of these two emotional rollercoasters.
Had a bit of a love/hate relationship with this game, but FFX was (and still is) my most cherished game, and I adored Tidus and Yuna's relationship, so I had to see this game through no matter what, and I'm glad I did! This is the true ending for me. And IMO, the ending of FFX is what makes this ending so powerful in the other direction. It's a testament to the power love can have! So yeah, I will rejoice in the happy feelings this ending gives me just as I will cry at the sadness in the ending of FFX. And there's no problem with that.
At first I thought "I'll complete the game, get the worst endings first and only then get the perfect one so I'll enjoy it more" but then. No. I couldn't bring myself to lose purposely or refuse to get Tidus back right away. After more than 7 months of playing and suffering, I realised how much I missed him
The sad ending is what feels cannon for me, but damn this ending... I'm so fucking happy for Yuna. This girl is so in love with Tidus and literally chases after a dream. She deserves this after all the struggle.
Well, in the audio drama ffx-will the story follows based on the true/good ending. I love all the endings (except losing to vegnagun and all of spira being crushed), squareenix did so good on this game tho
same, they pulled off the romance perfectly here, it was majestic and grand in a way that was only heightened by the fantasy world of Spira. I really hope we can see these characters again one day, the thought of Yuna and Tidus being able to have a life together, maybe even start a family, is heartwarming at the very least :,)
"do you want to meet HIM?" Well you can't say Tidus because thousand of gamers in the world had named him differently as the stupid character naming was still available in the early PS2 final fantasy. They never said "Tidus" in the voice cutscene, not even Yuna. It makes me sad
Probably my favorite love story. It's very sweet, and they don't shove the romance down your throat (as in, even considering the Suteki Da Ne thing, they're still focused on the task at hand and don't make bad choices for the sake of their romance). It's only when the Eternal Calm happens that Yuna doesn't give up on seeing him again, and her efforts - along with Rikku and Paine - pays off.

Billy the MLG quickscoper Yeah I was kidding. I dont even think making a 3rd would be a good idea. Maybe instead, a prequel where you get to play as Ject (Tidus's dad) and find out how he got to Spira in the first place and how he helped beat, and then become, Sin. That would be better than a 3rd game, since I didn't like the direction that 2 took the storyline.

I kinda liked the game but hated the characters. Yuna was too different from the first game. I wish Auron was still here. If he was he'd kick their asses into shape.

I recently beat FFX again for the first in 11 years. I always remembered that game had an amazing ending and playing through it again only reinforced that. In fact its one of the few times where I revisited a cherished game/movie/etc from my past and actually found it to be better than I remembered. It's one of those endings/games you just don't want to end due to the happiness, the re-uniting of Yuna and Tidus and all of their allies and friends was one of the best in the Final Fantasy series. I just wonder...what if FFX-3 were to exist in the future...Just...what would happen?
uh... I imagine it would be set a few years later, Tidus and Yuna are married, maybe even raising a child, and something happens that urges them to duty again(maybe something with the farplane leaking out that they have the most knowledge of). They could make a mkre mature story about duty vs family, if Tidus and Yuna have more adult respinsibilities, way more is on the line if they put themselves at risk. I imagine it could also examine their relationship and how it's evolved. Honestly though, I would just love an X-3 where you could play as both Tidus and Yuna, it would be the perfect summation of the saga and it's pretty rare to have a jrpg with two protagonists who are partners/married in their 20s. you would be playing as two characters who you've seen as young teens when it all started and now they are at a different phase of their lives
Honestly, Indont think Tidus and Yuna's relationship would work. I can see them splitting up, but maybe having a kid and Tidus making the same mistakes Jecht did with him.
There is very nice piece of literature on that. a prequel of sorts. with LOT of the timelines covered. And eventually explaining how the war between Bevelle and Zanarkand happened. and even more bits that explain more things further
I totally get that your face and body changes as you get older. But that said, I think they changed Yuna’s face too much. It’s the whole structure, everything that has changed. Even the eyes! Idk.. I could understand If She had been like 13 years old in the first game, but for her face to change that much in two years (From 17 to 19 years old) seems a bit too much.
@FunStuff141 Yes. FFX-2 is mainly mission based, so if you do enough side-quests, and finish the storyline, with enough percentage complete, you can decide the ending. There's the Sad, Normal, and Good endings. There's also an extra ending if you get 100% complete, which you would see after getting the Good ending.
I think it is safe to say that the FF-SERIES are the best in the world everything about them are perfect! such class such cinematic, such drama, such scripts! and FF- X is the number one beyond doubt!!
Chealsea_fan_85 Cobham I have to disagree with you there . FF-X is truly amazing and I can't tell you how many times I cried seeing that ending , the whole storyline of FF-X was truly a masterpiece , one of my favorites actually . Although FF-X still makes me cry tears I think FF7 crisis core will still have my heart . That whole prequel got me fucked up . That's just my opinions on the whole thing . FFX is one of the best though for me anyways!
@regal300 Generally, this is considered to be the "true" ending, since the other two endings are usually when you either don't have enough of the game complete, or purposely make it so the two don't reunite. And yes, the scene with Tidus underwater is the same from the FFX ending.
Final fantasy X-2: it's soul purpose to show us the last 5 minutes of this video. Seriously, playing through the first 100 hour long game was work enough to earn them living happily ever after. But no, had to play 2 extremely friggen long games.
Okay, lets all just turn our heads and look away at that god awful excuse of sequel bait. It's as bad as fan fiction, so in my mind, it is fan fiction.
This is what I loved about FFX/FFX-2: the two games tell a love story (Yuna & Tidus) with a supporting love story (Wakka & Lulu). What can I say? I'm a sucker for a good love story. I personally love the games. They are my favorites from the entire series. Others may disagree, and that's okay. You don't have to like it. It doesn't impact my enjoyment. :)
I love them all so much...I know Final Fantasy since I'm 5 years old... And because of this,I love them all like my family (: And whenever I play this game I could cry 'cause of all the emotions that I feel every time I see Yuna,Tidus,Rikku or the other ones ...
@TheTaze2000 In Chapter 3, you have to speak with Maechen in Guadosalam, then when Yuna falls into the abyss/field of flowers, you have to press X until you hear Tidus' whistle 4 times. Then, at the end of the game, when Yuna's walking through the flowers again, you have to press X to hear his whistle.
@musicsandgames In FFX, you had the option of changing Tidus' name. And with the new voice-overs, FFX being the first to ever use it, if the player choose to name Tidus something else, it would be odd for the characters to call him Tidus anyways, so he is always referred to as "Him", "He" or "You-Know-Who" for FFX and FFX-2. So that's why, after FFX, the option to change the main character's names were no longer avalible, so in Dissidia, and Kingdom Hearts, characters could refer to him by name.
KurayamiNoNakaNoHikari ..this is the real ending the end of the ending!!just like you start with a new life style but you keep remember him and you find the sphere of her and in that poin you got a miracle someone drive you too see her and he was totally happy to meet you again and you happy too..and happy to because you know she is not dead she still alive she just gone for a while..(well I hope is work but I think this is make you shy sorry if I do that and I think XD this idea wouldn't work and this was stupid idea)
Well, In my opinion, at 9:12 Yuna and Tidus are kissing :))) That's why Wakka said they get a room @.@ And Tidus: 'Who asked you to watch, Wakka' :))))))
I've played this game a ton and have seen the ending multiple times, but can you just imagine... Brother and Buddy accidentally making a mistake and hitting Tidus while they were flying into the scene all crazy... All that work for nothing. There would be a bunch of angry gamers out there!
While I liked X-2 they milked the FFX cow. Not going to bother with the 2.5 story because everything could have ended with the same scene in FFX although Yuna would be running to Tidus in her Summoner Kimono. Only difference. Also anyone notice if you give Paine pink hair shes basically Lightining?
@S3ktenMuzik Auron was an Unsent, meaning he was already dead prior to the events of FFX. So after they defeated the final bosses, Jecht and Yu Yevon, he allowed Yuna to send him to the Farplane, to rest. Kimahri should still be on Mt. Gagazet, though to what he is doing, I couldn't say.
@KristineMendoza13 During X-2 you find out that Wakka and Lulu are together now. During the game, you find out that Lulu has been pregnant during Yuna's adventures. By the time you meet the former mage, she's expecting her child. During this ending, you can see that she finally has it. The baby's name is Vidina (which is Al Bhed for "future").
Refresh my memory what sphere? The one of Shuyin that Kimahri found that started their journey? I can only recall that one, but you can't be talking about that one since it has no relation to confirming Tidus' comeback. From what I remember of the ending, they defeat Vegnagun. Yuna meets the Fayth on the Farplane who then asks if she wants him back. And then they travel back to Besaid, skipping the celebration ceremony thing where Yuna spots him in the water. T
Awww man, I never finished the game because the gameplay wasnt great so I never got to see this ending. Im suddenly glad they made they game after all, perfectly rounds out the story of FFX
@CyberKairu24 No, because Tidus was a dream of the fayth (from the "dreamland" Zanarkand) and the fayths of the summoning were destroyed, he faded from the world. However, because shyin's "emoness", they persisted. After everything else, bahamut (that little boy) somehow managed to send him back to Spira.
This ending is cute, but I prefer the FFX ending. Less cheesy and I can appreciate Tidus and Yuna's relationship more. FFX's end is pretty useless if she just gets him back...
DenisK21 I understand, but I preferred X's end over this happily-ever-after end that both FF8 and 9 had previously. That made X stand out to me. The sad ending on X2 was nice, though, and way more fitting, imo. She still loves and misses him, but she's fine without him. Perfect.

Although FF-X still makes me cry tears I think FF7 crisis core will still have my heart . That whole prequel got me fucked up . That's just my opinions on the whole thing . FFX is one of the best though for me anyways!
Yeah. Crisis core is a very good game as well!! And the story of the game as well! it answered a lot of questions we FF-FANS had after FF-VII
@regal300 Generally, this is considered to be the "true" ending, since the other two endings are usually when you either don't have enough of the game complete, or purposely make it so the two don't reunite. And yes, the scene with Tidus underwater is the same from the FFX ending.
"This is my story and it'll be a good one!"
Final fantasy X-2: it's soul purpose to show us the last 5 minutes of this video. Seriously, playing through the first 100 hour long game was work enough to earn them living happily ever after. But no, had to play 2 extremely friggen long games.
Which, given the audio drama added in the HD version, isn't so happy.
sole, not soul.
I love Tidus and Yuna, fuck. So happy they got this in X-2
Ahhh, I love this ending. Took me seven playthroughs to get it.
I love them all so much...I know Final Fantasy since I'm 5 years old...
And because of this,I love them all like my family (:
And whenever I play this game I could cry 'cause of all the emotions that I feel every time I see Yuna,Tidus,Rikku or the other ones ...
I love how Final Fantasy X-2 stuck it to all those "True Art is Angsty" folks.
A great ending to my all-time favorite RPG ^^ such feels :D
Still a better love story than twilight
why can't movies be this quality?
+FryGod Because that would require that Hollywood hire halfway decent writers (like the video game companies used to do).
+HM The Tsar of Russia true that
even FF need 30 hours to explain its story.
I just noticed that background music is the same as michellephans "A beautiful Story" video.
My favourite ending, like it more than the "perfect ending" in Zanarkand.
Back when SE owned the JRPGs for years...
Now......
T.T
AWWWW... after 13 years I've seen it again
i bet Brother was pissed
Then it makes me all the more happier. I never could stand him.
Brother is her cousin I think
In Asian culture, it's okay for cousins to fall in love and marry each other. Although, it's quite rare to see it happening.
haha good riddance to that bastard, I hope Tidus put him in his place
I am really looking for that theme that was playing when she was walking in the flower field. I love that song.
Hmmmm
Did it work?or is make you shy or worse?
Yeah.. Maybe it will...
So did it work?
It will take some times, but maybe it will work
When they were hugging, that seemed they are each others "home"
Well, In my opinion, at 9:12 Yuna and Tidus are kissing :))) That's why Wakka said they get a room @.@
And Tidus: 'Who asked you to watch, Wakka' :))))))
I wish it showed her explaining everything, that would be
e cool to see his reaction.
that ship at 5:00 looks like the Ragnarok from FF8
I fucking never noticed that LOL
I've played this game a ton and have seen the ending multiple times, but can you just imagine... Brother and Buddy accidentally making a mistake and hitting Tidus while they were flying into the scene all crazy... All that work for nothing. There would be a bunch of angry gamers out there!
😢beautiful. just beautiful. 😢😢😭😭😭😭
I don't think there will ever be such an emotional game from FF series again. Oh well I always have my memories with this
How do I get this ending?!
I tried so hard and so many times to like this sequel. I couldn't take it for more than 2 hours or so.
Hope we get a "good" ending for Cloud and Aerith. :(
With the remake, it might be possible 🤔
Anime
Does only i m who have tear in my eye when i hear
"this is my story..." ?
While I liked X-2 they milked the FFX cow. Not going to bother with the 2.5 story because everything could have ended with the same scene in FFX although Yuna would be running to Tidus in her Summoner Kimono. Only difference. Also anyone notice if you give Paine pink hair shes basically Lightining?
Well they already confirmed they're not making an X-3, so I don't think 2.5 is canon.
Gagazet, though to what he is doing, I couldn't say.
well good job!
@KristineMendoza13 During X-2 you find out that Wakka and Lulu are together now. During the game, you find out that Lulu has been pregnant during Yuna's adventures. By the time you meet the former mage, she's expecting her child. During this ending, you can see that she finally has it. The baby's name is Vidina (which is Al Bhed for "future").
this game sucked but the ending rocked
The gameplay, graphics and quests were all very enjoyable. The story didn't live up to FF standards but as a game it waa solid.
It's a good ending, but I'm still thinking that the script of the game was written by a bunch of 13 years old girls.
cringy hell
Thanks for posting this!
ROGGGGEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
Awww man, I never finished the game because the gameplay wasnt great so I never got to see this ending. Im suddenly glad they made they game after all, perfectly rounds out the story of FFX
"Brother, faster!"
*Turns down volume before parents walk in*
That's what I was thinking 😂
Anyone else still watching this in 2022? And if so, does it still have a good impact on you? :)
Yes, there is planned to change it X3 which anger me
@@kevinzhong7493 they really plan to change it? o0o i really hope they don't cause its perfect as is owo
"It's my story: it'll be a good one!"
No Yuna, it wasn't a good story
Lmao
@CyberKairu24
No, because Tidus was a dream of the fayth (from the "dreamland" Zanarkand) and the fayths of the summoning were destroyed, he faded from the world. However, because shyin's "emoness", they persisted. After everything else, bahamut (that little boy) somehow managed to send him back to Spira.
This ending is cute, but I prefer the FFX ending. Less cheesy and I can appreciate Tidus and Yuna's relationship more. FFX's end is pretty useless if she just gets him back...
kittyalbum It's better to think of it chronologically; it's the previous ending that gives THIS ending its true value.
DenisK21 so true
DenisK21
DenisK21 I understand, but I preferred X's end over this happily-ever-after end that both FF8 and 9 had previously. That made X stand out to me. The sad ending on X2 was nice, though, and way more fitting, imo. She still loves and misses him, but she's fine without him. Perfect.
