Wow, you have been busy!!! Love to see what you make and how you hack patterns. You've got a lot going on - don't burn yourself out trying to do it all and post videos, too - we'll wait! That said, I very much appreciate your taking your precious time to connect with your viewers!
Love all your makes...couldn't find one I didn't like! I am a retired teacher (retired young) in Houston, TX...so grateful to know that someone like you is in our classrooms.
I was a stay at home mom for almost 10 years in NY. When I moved to Austin,Texas in 1995, I started teaching again . I took a break from sewing when I went back to work. Now, I have been retired for 6 years and have picked it up again. So, I can relate to being a working mom after being home. Luckily my kids were in 2,4, and 6th grade and the younger ones were in my school. Good luck to you. PS There is a Creative Use in Austin.
I have to make all waistbands smaller even on elastic waistbands. If your fabric is stretchy enough, I just taper at the top of the pants the last inch or two and then use a smaller waistband. So nice to see you back and hope that your schedule settles down. To be a working m9m of littles is hard. I remember those days well!
🎉❤I celebrate you! I want more videos. You are very inspiring. Your presentations are so well done and energizing! Thank you for providing you and your good works! Please do not stop because you are amazing!
I love the way you are using your scraps! I’m gonna adopt that when I have scraps♥️ I also really love the style and fabric of the last dress you’ve shown.
My favorite thing is her energetic creative inspiration she’s given me again about sewing, particularly use in repurposing household linens into beautiful garments. I live in a semi- remote area whoe nearby major brands have recently cut fabric inventories to practically nothing lately. So I marched right to a few of the best thrift stores and scooped up some gorgeous linens. I have now collected a great inventory and expect to be on my way with some if her garment ideas. It’s just electric how excited I feel again about sewing! Thank you so very much!
I’d love to see the craft fair life. Also, have you ever considered making bias tape with scraps? I’d love to watch a video about that. Keep up the good work!
I’m totally interested in your craft fair and your home/work life adjustments. Any particular plans, organization that you are trying or have really made a difference.
Welcome aboard! My honest goal for this channel is just that: providing sewing inspiration for the curvy ladies (& everyone else of course) 😄 I’m glad to know I’m fulfilling that mission!
So many gorgeous makes! Where to start...😃 Loved seeing the Petunia Blouse done on a print fabric ❤! The sleeves in this pattern are just *Chefs kiss* I really need something like Mccalls 8064, I would probably go for a maxi version. It is just gorgeous and seems easy to wear/style and look great.
Thanks so much 😊 the 8064 really is my ideal dress, it’s so easy to put together but looks like I really put a lot of effort into my look. Thanks for providing me with some really good inspiration 😊
Great video! Maybe it's just my feed, but a lot of the things I see for wearing versus styling involve really plain minimalist garments, like a solid grey sweater and pair of jeans. Because that could be pretty boring on its own, the styling part (tucking, layering, accessorising, etc.) is necessary to give it a bit of interest. I don't think you need to work that hard if you've made something with unusual style lines or an interesting print/pattern. As you said, your basics aren't basic. Maybe you just don't love the style or fit, or the proportions aren't quite right for you. I wouldn't worry that you're not doing styling right. You look great and you know what you feel comfortable in. Have a play around and experiment, but trust yourself.
Yes please, show us the craft fair. Great makes, every single one of them.
Thank you & will do!
Great makes… would definitely like to see your craft fair shenanigans ❤❤
Coming soon! 🥰

You wear cropped garments so well! All of your clothes are beautiful. Cool scrap garments! Have a blessed day, and Happy Sewing! 🧵
Thank you so much! I’ve found that cropped things really work for me proportionally so I just run with it😆

I really like all the dresses. I do agree about the pink one I think the ruffle needs to be longer

Thank you! It’s growing on me and it doesn’t show well in the video but the gold thread throughout it gives it the perfect holiday vibes

For styling the last 3 self-drafted dresses, what about dark tights, booties or boots, and an edgy moto jacket, to balance out the cottage-y vibe?
I love that, I actually just thrifted a moto jacket so I’ll definitely have a go playing around with styling it in more edgy way. Thanks!! 💛
When are you doing a sew-along? Love your makes
I have a few in mind, any suggestions? If I do record any - they’ll more than likely be next year as December seems to be zooming by!
Need a pattern for cardigan like that. Got some sweater fabric from Walmart for cheap and need to use up
Try the Marlo by True Bias or s9373 with some hacks (cropping, shortening & flaring the sleeve) you can get something close 😊💛
I live in Texas...
Great video!
