This was played pre Day 1 patch . I enjoyed the Game a lot but the Xbox version had a lot of issue when you shoot at an enemy you have audio delay and sometimes you get stuck in boxes where you can pick up the loot . Playtime is okay for me for first Playthrough once you know the riddles it gets to about 4 hours of playtime per Playthrough . 👻👻👻 out of 👻👻👻👻 only cause of the bugs I encountered otherwise 👻👻👻👻 Update Def. Play the game on Hard ….. doing a game movie on hard right now and the survival aspect is much better in hard mode
Wonderful news! Happy to see the Alone in the Dark franchise back again with a competently designed game for both veterans and new players to enjoy, unlike the previous last two (2008 game and Illumination). Also an ideal entry point for newcomers to the series and another solid alternative to enjoy outside of Resident Evil.
Now if we can just get a "Sweet Home" remake (or at least a re-release translated into multiple languages), we can have the Great-Grandfather of Survival Horror come back, too.
I really enjoyed that back on the Dreamcast and thought it was genuinely scary... and the out of nowhere apparitions were pretty good jump scares... only beat the game once with Carby and never got far enough with Eileen to encounter the game's version of Mr. X... I'll get around to playing that game again, one of these days
I think Alone in the Dark 2 (1993) was pretty good, brought a lot of innovation... The first one (1992) too. Those are my favorites tbh. The new nightmare is good too but the others are top on my list.

He's technically named after the Edward Carnby that existed decades before he was born, the one from the first three Alone In The Dark games, the 2008 one and this one. Thank you for playing it and uploading it so quickly! I was really excited about the game and couldn't wait to fully watch it. Of course there are some smaller bugs and problems and there are games with better graphics, but I really enjoy it and love the storyline, it's so eerie. Almost made it through the video and can't imagine what the ending will look like. I also love the easter egg of the H.P. Lovecraft bust at 5:40:29 it's perfectly fitting for the cosmic/lovecraftian horror of this game. Edit: I didn't see this ending coming at all haha
The people working on Destinies had the best idea ever (in my mind) and still managed to make the worst dumpster fire ever with it. I mean, how could people not be excited by the idea of changing important events of a TV Series like Walking Dead? If one day another studio gets the rights to make a new "Destinies" type of game, I hope they won't screw up with Fear the Walking Dead or get a Destinies 2 involving Season 5-8 right.
While this is a great game, people should know that Resident Evil is a reimagining of an earlier game called Sweet Home. And did anyone else get major House and House 2 vibes from this? Need to watch those movies again lol

This game marked my teenage era and it stayed in my thoughts for many years of course along with other PS1/PS2 games but this one with its puzzles and atmosphere is a very memorable one and I'm willing to replay it using an emulator on my computer before playing this new one which I haven't checked yet and about to do it now. This smooth Jazz soundtrack is a huge mistake that ruins the tone of the whole experience. It feels like we're in a laid back bar, a speakeasy. Not being threatened by other worldly creatures at a decrepit insane asylum in the middle of a swamp.
Yeah, I liked the haunting music in the intro sequence before they entered the mansion, until that jazz music played which bugs me too, it felt more like a detective puzzle game.
I would hope so considering you’re watching a TH-cam channel called “Survival Horror Network” and the game is literally a remake of a classic survival HORROR game lol
I've been looking forward to this game, really enjoyed the original series back at the day but this product seems somewhat rushed or even unfinished. Visual glitches, laggy sound, the pace is slow, also feels more natural at 150% of speed. I think I'll pass at least for now. Not gonna pay premium to do the betatesting.
I love the vibe of the old school AITD games and when I saw the trailer for this version I was underwhelmed, just seemed like a poor RE4 clone. I remember being blown away by the original AITD's graphics way back when, I still love the creepy/goofy atmosphere as well as the wonderfully cheesy voice acting. I'll watch some of this but am not expecting much from this game.

To me it seems the molotovs does not work at all for you? Can clearly see you seemed not bother to use them anymore after many tries :). Or is it maybe necessary to light them up first ?

This was an oddball mix of influences from other games that for the most part felt incoherent. The use of flashlight and monster design looked like a cross between Silent Hill and Dead Space, particularly with the final boss. Yet also had the LA Noire visual style and soundtrack thrown in. I preferred the original AitD storyline as well, so overall I was disappointed with this version.

Although the graphics look pretty dated, it looks really fun and the sound design is fantastic!
