I think the Public TV is considering this Orchestra because They have said They are gonna create a great Opening Music Act for The Grand Final on 16th of May. I hope watching a live Orchestra at Eurovision🤩❤
When Eurovision was in The Netherlands, Italy was represented by famous and great italian artists: Domenico Modugno, Gianni Morandi with "Occhi di ragazza", his most popular song, Albano and Romina Power, and Alan Sorrenti. He was famous also in the Usa
If Ireland stops playing Eurovision like it's still the '90s they can do well. The problem that RTE has is that they just don't care enough to update their tactics. We have seen other countries that wallowed in NQs and low down on the right side of the final turn around their Eurovision placing by re-evaluating they way they approach the contest and Ireland needs to do that. My homeland doesn't do Eurovision so I just want everyone to do their best and would love to see Ireland succeed again.

We did not compete in 1970 (withdrew) and in 2002 (dued to bad result the last few years as the rules were back then) so this is our 58th entry to the competition! I hope Spain will do well in the anniversary!
Given the budget Tel Aviv got to work with (and the insane ticket prices they charged!) it would be pretty damn sad if the upcoming Rotterdam edition is on the same level. It is already looking like the available budgets aren't remotely comparable. Additionally, Israel has the benefit that most of its success acts are far more recent, whereas all of the Dutch successes are literally from a different era with its artists not being of an age / quality any longer where they can be presented on the stage. Additionally, Israel dragged in Gal Gadot (fair enough, she's Israeli) but also Madonna, whose name alone lifted the expectations up to an alltime high. All of this does not mean talents don't exist in the Netherlands, or that the Netherlands cannot drag in big names... but it does mean there is no natural cohesion that all viewers of ESC can easily identify with. My personal hope is that dressing of the welcoming ceremony is for a good part planned and orchestrated by a number of Dutch DJs such as Tiesto since that is perhaps the biggest strength we have on the music-performing field in the current era, even if it is not singing. Beyond that..? Who knows. Israel fully banked on the 'catchiness' and sometimes weirdness of the various acts to cohesively build up ESC19, but I feel the Dutch should avoid copying and instead find a different common denominator that pulls people in musically. We can only wait and find out. :)
Tel aviv wasn't insane if you ask me. Previous years in malmö and vienna for example are way more memorable for me. Also, Madonna was a huge let down imo.

Poor Katja Ebstein. Went to the Netherlands in 1970 and became 3rd behind Ireland. 10 years later she defended Germany once again in the Netherlands and came 2nd.. behind Ireland once again. She also came 3rd in 1971.
I visited San Marino once, and spent a lovely afternoon watching some brass band contest that was being held in the town square. If they win Eurovision I imagine the contest to be held in the same square. Beautiful backdrop, just not much room for the audience. :P
I want the same outcome like 1974,1984,1991,1999,2012 & 2015 but since everyone is growing tired of our success in Eurovision. I don't see that Happening

One year a country could do horrible, but the next year with the right combination of song, act and luck, they could win. So you never know.

Patterns don't always dictate who wins. Denmark won twice in Sweden, but last time in Sweden Ukraine won.
