LOST WALTZ by Georg Steinboeck

LOST WALTZ tells two stories from the first Corona lock-down in Vienna, Austria (March/April 2020): On the visual side we have Vienna's deserted city-landscape: Tragically beautiful shots full of the painful slowlyness of quarantine, that gives the time to dive into little details. The city belongs to you!
On the audio side - next to usually unnoticed city sounds - one hears phone calls, that the director made to his 93 year old father, who's living isolated in a retirement home in Graz, Austria. Hearing problems complicate his sole means of communicating with the outdside world. The overcoming of the shock about the grave change of the life situation characterises the development of their exchange.
