I am thinking about getting an older Challenger SRT-8 (manual of course). 2014-2016. Thank you for the breakdown of the SCS (super car slayer). Thank you for being honest with us with the prices and everything. Shoutout to MOD2FAME from Wisconsin.
I'm thinking of going with a 6.1 because it should be cheaper to supercharge it without worrying about VVT or the ring gap landings. Put wider tires on it and better suspension and exhaust. Still not sure though.
I had a 392 that was a little over 600HP to the wheels. It wasn't cheap, but you can pick up older ones relatively cheap so you are starting at a cheaper cost.
With labor probably closer to 25k based what he explained. Just the pulleys and port job and installs for surrounding pieces is over $2500.
If that's your passion bro, cost will and should never matter. Keep doing your thing young bruh, building that monster and slaying those supercars. Respect from an OG
Damn hellcats are good cars but that cost is insane. For 7-10k I can get 850whp and would probably beat you, I know turbo vs N/A and weight makes a difference but I wouldn’t put that much into a car lol. Always supporting though 🙏🏽

A pulley, E85 tune with injectors will put you right there at 900-1000whp and that's probably 5k Topps, dude probably counting the money he spent on rebuilding the motor!

SrtJoe If you still under warranty, that’s a strong consideration to leave it alone. Come up with a plan and buy the parts, then wait till it’s out...when it’s out, put the parts on and go for it
$27K+ into my Procharged 426 stroker. Now I need an HP70 upgrade lol. Definitely would be in a Hellcat if I wasn’t so into having a 426.

You should look into a flex fuel system for your turbo build. Ignition timing is automatically adjusted by the ECU based on the the ethanol content %. You can run any combo of 93 and e85 like this, mixing the fuels.
meanwhile, mustang owners buy a GT base and put a super charger on and stiffen the suspension all for 45k (car included) and are at about 800hp..so aggravating losing at the track by a nose. Love the car man from a fellow HC owner keep up the dream and the content.

Where’s the dyno numbers to prove your car is a 1k “WHEEL HORSEPOWER” Hellcat bro
1150 HP is Bad Math. Most people make the mistake of taking a number of a percentage and adding in this case 15 percent to 1000 and getting 1150 which is wrong because 15 percent driveline loss of 1150 at the crank is 977WHP. You have to take the inverse percentage of 15 percent of 1000 and the correct calculated crank HP would be 1000÷.85 = 1176.47 HP assuming the 15 percent loss to get back to 1000 at the wheel. Google inverse percentage formula to see the formula for more detail.

If you've worked on older cars and driveshafts you can really appreciate newer style driveshaft; like just off the design aspect of it. Flanges on both sides. Changing a driveshaft on a car that has the yoke attached to one side of the driveshaft, I always prayed there wasn't gonna be issues with the yoke. A shorter than should be yoke will destroy the tail of a auto trans very fast.

20k plus the 60k to buy 707 hellcat 80k in for 1000whp thats really not bad, folks are spending 90k on em now and not even getting that. the extra 27k for looks sitting pretty at 107k
Dude get a redeye drive shaft this way you can do both. Axles break a lot stock doing drags so may want to upgrade that to in time if you eventually want to drag. Great build brother I love the car. Great video as well.

I want mods first of all to increase torque vs hp. Torque wins drag races if you can hook up. Also, i want to run on pump gas. The whole idea is to save money but build a car like a challenger demon for much less the price of the $85,000 demon when it was new. I hate the look of a demon, love the look of a hellcat! You know manual transmission muscle cars and exotics are a dying breed, they are a drivers car. Even though automatics transmission today are quicker shifting than the old school manuals. But they are lazy, and it doesn't take much skills to learn to drive an auto 🙄. At least you really don't have to worry about someone asking to drive your baby or running off with your stick. Just saying!

I really appreciate the content an knowledge you have about your cars. Also feel like you can actually drive. The only minor critique is that a lot of the races you run roll races can't really say you won the race because a lot of jumps on the horn traffic. I drive a stock 14 5.0 stick convertible. I know what it feels like when cars run up on me at 60 they have a faster car then me but most times i out drive them. Can you do straight up runs quarter mile runs where you can see clearly who the better driver is with most dialed in car? Keep the the great content up.
R Hickey Dig racin is much harder on the drive train, so you break more shyt, plus like you said the driver is a big factor. Roll racin is more about the car...

Putting this here becuase I think it needs to be said. Everyone is saying how the civic beat him but his car is also a racecar because of how much money he put into it. The amount of money you put into your car doesn't make it a race car. His car is still able to drive *relatively* comfortably when he wants it to. It has a full working radio, working air conditioning, full interior and all the other amenities of a regular car unlike the civic. Although you probably could drive the civic on the street it wouldn't be very enjoyable.
