I didnt know port hueneme had its own refuse service i never seen them and didn't know Athens or waste management did some parts of ventura county, i thought it was just EJ Harrison
Nope, they haven’t been since the 22100’s, 22200’s, and 22300’s are still brand new from last year. Although there are changes; the rental Peterbilt 520 Amrep Hardox FL’s are either in the yard awaiting deposition to the rental company who gave Oxnard those trucks, or something else that I don’t know. My regular driver that picks up the commercial garbage on Monday has a new rental 2022 Mack MR McNeilus Atlantic Series FL. The unit number for my regular truck was R23200. But altogether, no they didn’t, and Oxnard hasn’t bought any new trucks since 2022. I don’t know when they are getting new ones, it depends on the demand for more refuse trucks on the streets due to Oxnard’s modernization and the increase in Oxnard’s population, meaning more houses to be built. Although, the Bridgeports and the Rapid Rails, Oxnard’s former mainline fleet, are slowly being replaced and retired and either being sold for scrap or selling it to private companies, due to their age, stricter emissions standards, Oxnard’s transition for their mainline fleet to CNG (except the rentals, those are diesels which are not included in the retirement list), and most of all; Oxnard was not happy with these body types because they either didn’t pack well, were to difficult to maintain, hard to control the arm, the arm is too slow for the bin to dump, or unknowingly dump trash outside of the packer instead of in the packer, due to it's open hopper instead of a closed hopper like the Amrep's. Those are my only theories in my mind.
Gotta be one of the best looking trucks I’ve seen
-Compliments from a guy from LA County
