Two posts at once?! Since this one isn't pony-related, I thought I'd post it alongside "Starlight Waltz" so as not to alarm anyone. Pony will continue, but I thought I might start adding some additional material to keep you all entertained in the meantime.

Autumn always brings out such a wide range of feelings for me. The fall colors are exquisite to look at, but there's also this foreboding feeling of endings as the world becomes colder and darker. Yet somehow, it's strangely alive with imagination and memory; it's no wonder Halloween falls right in the middle. Anyway, I love it, and I wanted to capture some of its magic in a song. Hope you guys like it!

the song lullaby for a princess, sounded like it came from the lips of Princess Celestia herself, I was on the verge of tears when I listened to it. And the thing is the first time I saw that title on suggestions, I was like mmm...nah, but not for the first time am I glad I let my curiosity get the better of me and my assumptions to be totally wrong.
Dammit. I want to like this comment, but then it'll be 70. I want it to stay at 69! Life is so cruel!!

Now that you mentioned that, I've started to imagine Thranduil singing this while staring out at the autumn leaves of Mirkwood after his wife died. Perhaps holding a young Legolas close to his chest as both grieve for their lost wife and mother.

I haven't listened to this song in a while, I'm glad I came back to it because it is so beautiful. It's raining, and I just started going back to school, so it feels like Autumn right now. It's very fitting. You have a wonderful voice reminiscent of Josh Groban, please keep up your awesomeness.
Absolutely beautiful. One of the few songs I've heard that can really create an emotion inside me. It's these kind of songs that are the reason I love music.

Pony-related or not, this was a beautiful piece. The emotion in your voice works so beautifully with the soft, drifting tone of the notes. I literally could feel it swaying down to the ground like the leaves falling from the trees. You captured so much with this, the imagery of the lyrics and subtle progression of the melody. It's an honor to hear any of your work and I hope that we can hear even more of it soon!

Interesting choice of word, "bravo". I recently asked (and received) permission from Dane (Ponyphonic) to use this in a musical I've just finished. It will be the 'depths of despair' song from the main male character. I thought it fit in perfectly.

This music have all elements what makes a music for me mega epic! The lyriks, the music, the voice, this makes me think, there is a kind of magic in it that makes you "fly away like leaves at a cool wind in autumn..

Fantastic! Such an engagingly wistful character. I picture this in the context of an album or theatrical production following a very great loss. The lack of an overblown climax and of a proper ending cadence also lend to that feel.

It's not even close to the types of things I normally listen to, but the way you capture emotion in music is fantastic, and your lyrics are easily among the best I've ever heard (I've listened to The Moon Rises so many times, and it still gives me goosebumps!). It's interesting how this has a similar mood to "The Windmills of Your Mind". Probably helps that the words are kind of in the same context of reminiscing about past experiences and, in some sense, how the present becomes the past in the passing of time.

This...this is...so hauntingly beautiful. I'm hoping you don't mind, but when my fiance and I get married, I'm hoping to have this song play as we gather to remember our lost loved ones during the reception. I've lost a lot of family during fall and winter, and this song brought back so many memories of them it was just...perfect.
so, when you get married(which is supposed to be a happy occassion) you'll be sad the whole time?
Not the whole time, but I've lost a lot of people I wish could be there, including someone very close to me who I was going to ask to cater the wedding who passed away suddenly after we got engaged, and even if it makes me sad I want to honor them anyway

(Review while listening for first time) This strikes me as a simple piano and vocals piece with string backing, but it does manage to have a very rich, powerful sound. Ponyphonic's singing is moving and very well-executed - it reminded me a great deal of Moon Rises, actually.
This melancholic, gentle piece almost feels like a counterpart to that one. Whereas that one is a mix of sadness and anger, this one feels very much like a bittersweet acknowledgement of time's passage.
Yeah, simple until you try to figure out how to play it. I spent an hour and then just gave up.
