Demoed a brand new one and was very disappointed. Really liked the price and american made but it stopped there. It was very unstable the bucket roll back was not good you had to stretch out to far to to dig a straight wall. The window was in the way when it went up and the roller fell out with 15 hrs on the machine. The code was a pain in the ass to enter every time when starting. I went with a takeuchi 290 better built smoother operating machine.
Just an FYI that the E85 is considered a "midi" excavator. ..is in that in-between size of being bigger than a mini and smaller than the big daddy full-sized machines. You can't legally pull these things around in an equipment trailer like you can with minis - these things are close to 20K lbs.
Just bought a 2016 e85. Left thumb switch controls thumb. Right thumb controls auxiliary hydraulic Machine also pin quick attach bucket. I think added. Theres a tighle switch that doesnt look oem that controls hinge Been unable to get boo. To swing because tgat switch is controling thumb. Any ideas on what i could do to make boom swing? Awesome vid by the way
I love good pedals, and honestly these don’t look that good. Nice walk around though. Visibility looks great from the cab. Would be very interested in having a play, also would be good to learn more about that quick hitch. In the past bobcat hitch’s have been a total mess.
It's not a doosan model , this is r series. Built in USa. The previous e63. And e85 was a doosan. Actually the doosan model is built with Hyundai parts and yanmar engine.
EQUIPMENT CONNECTION it must run bigger than that. We run a 3 ditching bucket on our e35. 3 foot excavating bucket, an a 50” ditching bucket on our e80.

I've ran just about every type of excavator, but my favorite is CAT, bobcat is a close second
