There were times when corgi put out toys without a license, or showed them to see if there was interest, if the demand was there they’d produce them, or if the license holder complained they had sales figures to justify the baking from a licence. Underhanded but it paid off in a cutthroat toy market.

I think the silver liberator came as a twin set with a space shuttle (basically the Mini moonraker shuttle) but I don’t know if they released it on its own, I think they must have wanted to get more mileage out of the castings of both toys. But the liberator is a favourite of mine. I have one in the museum is if you need a comparison. M

The first thing I ever learned about collecting Corgi Toys was that the Steed's Bentley in the Avengers gift set should be RED even though the one in the show was green. Corgi had already done a green Bentley with a bowler hatted figure behind the wheel for the World of Bertie Wooster so they deliberately made the Avengers version red to diffrentiate between the two. Any Avengers gift set you see with a green Bentley, either the Bertie Wooster version has been subbed in OR it's a repaint. I saw one at auction recently where the car was green but the wheel hubs had been left red and someone on Facebook was arguing blue in the face that it was a legit variant! 😂
Regarding the Kojack Buick, there is actually a much rarer variant where the Crocker figure has a different suit colour and arm position, and the Kojak figure has no hat on.

2007/8 corgi was bust and sold/cleared all there toys through a company called PopCo before, the current iteration took over as Hornby Hobbies.
