I thank goodness that I grew up in a classical household. Older kids poked fun for goin to the concert with my parents on a Saturday night instead of hangin out. I played some classical piano for awhile, butI never became a musician to my regret, but I couldn’t imagine life without music.

Took several elective couses in college one of my most favorite was the study of classical music. Yes there's really a couse for that. I played piano too in my younger days and learned to appreciate the music. I played a lot of piano alone usually late at night.
My first time really listening and enjoying this music! I am able to appreciate it more now that I am older. Wish someone introduced this to me as a child. Amazingly beautiful! Calming & relaxing -- it just takes me away to a magical place!
Amazingly enough, there are certain elements in Bach’s music that sound completely modern - perhaps because so many contemporary musicians have been, and continue to be, influenced and inspired by his works.
My daughter plays this Debussy piece for me and cannot tell you the peace that surrounds me. Whenever I’m stressed I play it. Everything melts like butter. I thank God everyday for music and those that create it. Truly one of his greatest creations.

Why do so many gifted artists die so young,yet dictators & politicians go on for ever.My father came from a musical family.All singers/pianists or violinists.My mother always said she felt out of place there.I played guitar & piano years ago but my teacher said I would never play properly because I could play by ear.Chopin & Liszt are two of my fav composers.I regret not knowing why Mallorca was so full of piano shaped souvenirs when I went there as a child.The locals weren't especially kind to Chopin & George because(apparently)they believed they would catch his illness.I have just finished a book about George Sand.A woman way before her time.She was incredible.Now I want to read her books if the library has any on its shelves.

Why do so many gifted artists die so young,yet dictators & politicians go on for ever.My father came from a musical family.All singers/pianists or violinists.My mother always said she felt out of place there.I played guitar & piano years ago but my teacher said I would never play properly because I could play by ear.Chopin & Liszt are two of my fav composers.I regret not knowing why Mallorca was so full of piano shaped souvenirs when I went there as a child.The locals weren't especially kind to Chopin & George because(apparently)they believed they would catch his illness.I have just finished a book about George Sand.A woman way before her time.She was incredible.Now I want to read her books if the library has any on its shelves.
