Yea, I was kinda iffy when blue unfairied tinker bell. Tinker bell was claiming young Regina was exactly the kind of person needing their help and blue was so dismissive. 😑
The fairy makes so much sense to me now as an adult, tho I wish I understood back then. This songs meaning will never get old. She gives life lessons or advices in a song. 💙
This is why I have to wonder why people hate this movie...it's a clear misunderstanding that's it's literally musical theatre, and it's musical theatre heaven at that! And the classic Stephen Schwartz story he likes to tell of parents v children...he writes that topic a lot and it works :)
I'm starting to believe that this Blue Fairy is Proto-Galinda from "Wicked." Same manners, dress, enterence, way of talking, always giggling.... It's Galinda/Glinda alright.:/
Yes. I think this blue fairy, Glinda from "Wicked" and the Fairy Godmother from "Cinderella" (2015 live-action) have similar vibes. Anyway, did you watch "Oz the Great and Powerful"? Glinda (played by Michelle Williams) looks very similar to the Blue Fairy from "Pinocchio" (animated movie).
I have always wanted her dress and hair. That was like a freaking goal when I was a kid, and still kind of is Lol Even though my hair is straight with very very small waves if I don't brush it
Must be such an awkward moment, magically forced to copy a fairy's dance moves... haha but I love this song. It's catchy, cute, a little silly but also kinda true- people are never satisfied. It's so harsh of Gepetto to want to take back Pinocchio's life just because he doesn't want to be a toymaker when he grows up and doesn't know what to do in school.
Totally agree! I know Drew tends to made fun of for it, and even he makes fun of himself for it, but I think it's just so delightful :) Besides it's Stephen Schwartz's music, can't go wrong there!
Near the end, is Drew singing "I want him to grow up like me" or "And want to grow up like me"? It sounds more like the latter, but the lyrics I looked up used the former.
I thought Flora was red...but either way I'll go with it! I never did notice that potential reference there! Merrywether would be the one who may say the others make mistakes :)
this is my favorite part of the film i love to watch it i have it on tape! X i love drew carey in this but i do wish he didnt ding so much lol! if you like drew carey are you interrested in the drew carey show it's realy funny !XX anyone interested should give it a go ! XX :)
Geppetto was such a likable character in the 1940 Pinocchio movie that I wanted the movie to be about him. Geppetto is such horrible parent, bigot, and has such a stale personality that I'm more interested in Pinocchio when this movie is about Geppetto.
She's still a better Blue Fairy than the Once Upon a Time Blue Fairy. At least this one gets shit done.
Yea, I was kinda iffy when blue unfairied tinker bell. Tinker bell was claiming young Regina was exactly the kind of person needing their help and blue was so dismissive. 😑
I was soooo in love with that dress… still am 😂♥️♥️♥️♥️
Wow I didn't know Julia-Louis Dreyfus can sing this well! And her dancing wasn't bad either, if she never had formal dance training.
She's perfect ;)
I love the Blue Fairy in this movie. Julia looked really pretty and sang very well
She's so gorgeous, sings so beautifully
The fairy makes so much sense to me now as an adult, tho I wish I understood back then. This songs meaning will never get old. She gives life lessons or advices in a song. 💙
Julia Louis-Dreyfus has a very sweet voice!
Drew has always been a great singer and dancer😊. LOVED Gepetto
Innocent, classic musical. They would never make anything like this now and yet it would be brilliant! The world lacks cheeeeese ;)

The same person who wrote this went on to write the musical Wicked so... yes. That’s exactly it.
Yes. I think this blue fairy, Glinda from "Wicked" and the Fairy Godmother from "Cinderella" (2015 live-action) have similar vibes.

Gepetto Drew Carey and Cinderalla Brandy. Nostalgia at it's best XD
Agree Brandy is so beautiful as Cinderella.
Julia looks so darn cute and she sings beautifully
Imagine she met the soup natzi as a fairy lol
"with the loveliest pair of... WINGS!" XD
I don't get it. Why is that funny?
@@jeremiahjackson5878 breasts
i don't see any wings
@@stephanielunaverse1232 they're in the back. You have to look closely and pay attention.
@@jeremiahjackson5878 It’s an adult joke, put your mind in the gutter for a second, and you’ll probably figure it out.
Thankfully, I am one of the forunate few who owns a copy of the VHS. Such a great musical!
What a beautiful soprano voice!
Drew and Julia had quite a chemistry in this movie!
I LOVED this song...the movie was very good as well
I have always wanted her dress and hair. That was like a freaking goal when I was a kid, and still kind of is Lol Even though my hair is straight with very very small waves if I don't brush it
I always wanted her dress and magic wand LOL she’s very pretty for sure. ☺️
Omg. This has been my life. I fell in love with this musical bc I know what it is to be a liar.
She can sing!!!
did you know that drew, first turn down the role of Geppetto?
+sycragamer And he has no sense of length.
yes yes he did wouldn't be the last tie
As a young adult, I was always fascinated with Julia Louis-Dreyfus and her pair of blue fairies.
Must be such an awkward moment, magically forced to copy a fairy's dance moves...

She is a beautiful blue fairy, a gorgeous one unlike once upon a time.
I think any time "Louis" sings, it's magic.

I've remember that movie when I was 6th grade😍
It's actually a musical. I watched it the first time it was ever shown. Not bad.
Totally agree! I know Drew tends to made fun of for it, and even he makes fun of himself for it, but I think it's just so delightful :) Besides it's Stephen Schwartz's music, can't go wrong there!
Yeah! Here, Drew Carey and Julia Louis-Dreyfus seem a sort of Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers... :) Good dancers, indeed! :D
wow, is that really her voice?! i had no idea she could sing!!!!
The small pair of wings on the back of her dress is the same manner as the Fairy Godmother's dress from the 2015 "Cinderella" movie.
Elaine Benes in her 'happy place' lol.
if the lyrics were changed in this song, i swear it would be an bollywood dance number
That’s a good Julis Andrews impression❗️😀😍👍🥰👏👏
very very very cute movie.
Merry Christmas, Tommy! Look, it's Geppetto on DVD!
2:46... SPARKLE RAIN

We are doing this musical, and I got her part XD
My sentiments exactly!
Her wings are so tiny lol

The new Blue Fairy scares me

@TheStarryArcher1213 I think it's "And want to grow up like me".
i think he was actually the director..
oh my god i found my childhood!!
They have it on Netflix now.
Dance, Drew Carrey, DANCE!!!!!! MOIHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hey, look! It's Drew Carey! Wow!

A terrific scene from a good musical, but...I want Pleasure Island! That song was so fucking catchy, that it's not even funny.
Omg YES, especially that last part... Gives me chills 😊😊
Great movie. Anyone who says otherwise is lying
Is this the only real movie that Drew is in?
Wow, now I know why they make so much fun of it on Whose Line...
...Oh God...He'll never live this movie down.
More Blue Fairy!!
Yes she is a hot one.
Brutal
3:34 Just because it's magic. Just Because It's Magic.

Wow.... never knew Drew Carey could dance.... lol
The Bounty Quicker picker upper.
Alright Elaine...stop ripping off Glinda.
This movie came out before the musical, Wicked had ever come out.
when I first saw this, it looked like the Blue Fairy had a thing for Geppetto
4:01 Doy, doy, doya, doya.
I feel sorry for Gepetto
Especially when you have to deal with that annoying hypocritical fairy that claims that magic doesn't fix anything
i never knew it was drew carey o.e
me too
2:34 Magic fairytale in a safety net.
I feel sorry for Geppetto and that Turchina Fairy is RUH-UDE !!
