i dont mean to be so off topic but does anyone know a tool to get back into an Instagram account?? I somehow forgot my password. I love any help you can offer me
@Harlan Wilder i really appreciate your reply. I got to the site through google and Im trying it out now. I see it takes a while so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Oh man does this bring back memories. I used to play this game all the time back in arcades (wherever I could find it). I played it so much that I was able to get the max score many times (about 20 times or so in the total time it was in arcades). Of course the opponents that I had the hardest time with were Tonfun and Blues. The first time you face Tonfun he's tough, but entirely beatable if you do it right. The next time you fight him, holy crap he is tough. Blues is plain tough no matter if you fight him the first time through or after that. And yes, I have gotten perfects on everyone, just not in the same game.
In 48K version on ZX I used to play in my childhood Blues was a pushover, but Tonfun was always in dire straits.. I can't recall clearly but I believe that I've never gotten perfect on him, and just to beat him twice in a row made me jump for joy
Omg....and i thought i was special for beating the high score at my local arcade to get a free game and just making it to Blues a second time.....I sucked compared to this. 😅 Glad I still have it on my XB360...gonna play it and work on beating Tonfun and Blues like you did. 👏👏👍👍
I got to the point where I could get to Tonfun easily, but he'd be a challenge. And Blues too. Never did master them. I used to play this at a tiny arcade next to a tiny general store in a trailer park just outside of Sea Isle City, where I'd spend my summers... along the Jersey boardwalks.
Wow!!! Me and my 2 friends would go to this convenient store everyday after school to and put as many quarters as we could get our hands on and play this arcade game! I used to think this was the greatest game in the world!! The 80s. Lol
My local market had a weird cabinet with 2 joysticks. We found some creative ways to use both sticks. I was only ever able to get the the 2nd time around to Blues.
Have this on PS1 and DS Konami compilations, but first played in a laundromat back in the 90's that had a few arcade games in it. While the laundromat is still around, all the machines in it, save for Ms Pac-Man, are long gone, and the Ms Pac-Man cabinet has a screen that looks very, very blurry, the machine needs love and care to help restore it back to what it used to look like. Looks like the laundromat owner doesn't care though as the monitor has not been repaired, or replaced. I do wonder where his old Yie Ar Kung Fu, Donkey Kong, James Bond pinball, and the other 2-3 arcade cabs (Galaga was one of them) went.
I would probably be rich if I never found out about this game. It was in a Safeway store when I was little. The interest on all those quarters would add up to a million dollars or so! ;)
This was the only good thing about being taken to Berwick Holiday Centre in 1985 by my evil Aunty. I only played once a day as it was 20p a go. But I used to marvel for hours at all the other guys playing. A couple of the bigger kids would get to tonfa and I idolized them. One guy, a Scotsman in aviator shades, got to Blues. To me he was a fucking God.
@@ThatWhiskeylovinAsianGuy He beat him with a perfect but to get perfect, you have to recieve no damage. That's why he looses on purpose cos he made a mistake and took damage.
hmm, I played this game back in the day... I was very good at it... I could go through all the stages eventually ending back at level 1. what I remember about it when I played it was as you progressed through the levels, it got faster and faster and faster!! I don't see that happening here? just seems the same speed throughout... maybe different software settings or something? thanks for uploading though, brought back the memories :D
Omgsh I couldn't wait for the rcade to open Saturday mornings cause of this game tanfun always had a hard time defeating him.. Where the heck was the internet back then..
My favorite martial arts based game back in the day. Don't think I ever made it to Blues a second time in the arcade, but remember feeling like I conquered the world the first time I beat him. By the way, can somebody please tell me what they are saying after a perfect round? Shu shu? I imagine it translates to "perfect".
Not quite. It's emulated. Almost arcade perfect, but you can tell right off the bat from Oolong's grunts when throwing punches and kicks that this is an emulation. But I can understand playing a good emulation of an arcade game like this. Good luck finding an actual arcade version of a 35+ year old arcade game nowadays. This game takes me back. I remember spending a few bucks in quarters playing this game at Pizza Inn. I don't know why they got rid of it to bring in Kicker afterward, they should have parted with the Centipede arcade game instead and kept Ye-Ar. Lol
It was alot that drew to me to this classic ass game. One was the intro the game before u fought the opponent. And oolong showing that roundhouse kick whenever he won. The thing i hated was fighting either Tonfun or Blues.
nerdi loo I remember this game from either 88 or 89 at a godfathers pizza in the DC area. My father tried it and got up to the nunchaku level before he lost. Never saw this game anywhere after that, but never forgot it after 30 plus years.
OK, so it took about an hour to max the score. Now have fun waiting another hour for the game to kill off all those extra lives you've accumulated. :)(Especially considering on the last fight before max out you're earning a life every time you increase your score - note the extra life sound playing over and over again starting around 58:05 and the buzzing as your life meter drains at the end of that fight. Some other arcade games have the same kind of glitch with extra life accumulation near the score cap.)
This game was so frustrating back in the day. Sometimes, I could run the table in one life, but sometimes I’d get stuck on someone I should be able to punk out. I scratch that up to the game’s bad hit detection as well as giving opponents unfair hits (fist is already out, but you jump into it. Physics fail).
The thing I never understood in this game is when the male “enemy” is defeated, they’re laying on their back with their feet in the air. The female characters are lying on their side.
I think the purpose of the yellow arrow is to show which direction the joystick was moved, to memorize how to make certain moves. I think without it, the game would be more difficult to play.
So nes game is kind of port of this. I wonder why on Earth they didn't port it as is? It looks like perfectly fitting to nes with no big deal of memory or graphics.
