Thank you for watching! Are there any books that have been helpful for you when learning beekeeping? What are some of your favorite beekeeping TH-cam channels? If you learned online, what online beekeeping class did you take and did it help?
    Thanks!

My experience is a little different. I learnt about bees from an uncle in my teens. Later my grand parents gave me a book A Guide to beekeeping in Australia by Norman Redpath. In my 40’s I learned about Australian native bees both from TH-cam and the Australian native bee book by Dr Tim Heard. Then took an online course from Nick Powell, Bee Verity on Australian native bees. Book on Boxing and Splitting Hives by Dr Anne Dollin and Russell and Janine Zabel. For my 51st birthday this year my daughter Rose gave me a book Keeping Australian Native Stingless Bees by Greg Conan. Also seen most of your videos, Feddrick Dunn’s the way to bee and Kaylee from the honeystead on TH-cam.
I myself mentor my brother with his honey bees. Although he has the flow hive 2, it’s great to harvest honey in a different way. Thanks for sharing your videos and experiences. It’s been most helpful. TrickyTrev 🇦🇺👍👍🐝🐝🐝🍯🍯🍯

Thanks for sharing! I used to wish I had relatives who were interested in beekeeping. My 2 year old son is the only one, so far, who has any interest in them :) Learning from someone is always the best way to go.

Aloha. Enjoying your videos very much. Just getting interested here. One question for you: Do you over-winter need in your climate? I live in Ilhéus, Bahia, in northeast Brazil. Our overnight lows in “winter” here only get into the low 60’s for a few weeks. Absolute low temp during 20 years was an overnight dip to 59 degrees Fahrenheit. Thanks in advance!

Aloha! No, we don't have to over-winter our hives here. In the winter, some of our yards are in areas that are in the 40s and 50s at night, but in the daytime it is in the 70s.
