This guy is so good with animals he knew exactly how to read her, after that kiss she immediately felt the affection ,she felt save and he won her trust almost instantly

One of these days a dog will bite him in the face when they meet for the first time. He’s good with dogs, but when he meets a dog for the first time he immediately puts his face up to the dog’s face. You can see some of them freeze and even try to pull away.
I hope it will never happen but it wouldn’t surprise me.
@Lonie good point but in this case he approached the dog carefully and by letting her sniff his hands first,what we see in the videos is just a fraction from the time he actually interact and spend with the dogs,pretty sure he reads dogs correctly but indeed you never know with a traumatized or a scared dog

@@jonathanlee5314 Yeah. That curly tail, markings, coat color, and the lack of barking makes me think she might have some basenji in her. I had a basenji mix and she was very quiet when we adopted her. She did bark but only when she got excited or saw someone coming to the door. Finding a basenji mix in the shelter is such a rare thing.

I thought that it was an absolutely beautiful moment when she was put in the kennel in the back of the truck. Eventhough the kennel door was wide open and she did have an opening to get out of the kennel if she wanted too she didn't. She gracefully turned around and just laid down. It was if she already knew that she was headed to where she was meant to be. Amazing💚💙💛🧡❤💜

seeing any dog maltreated or abandoned just breaks my heart, all they want is a home and loving family to make their own, and yet so many people just are not fit for doing a decent job caring for them.
This is a kind man.
I'm jealous as all heck, Steve's got my dream job. Lol. I'm sure Steve is gonna be a great asset to the Asher house. Anyone that is a mega animal lover would be in heaven working in paradise with all that love.

Asher House is wonderful
Reminds me of my dog Jack, found him on the streets near my mom's house. Named him Jack after Nightmare Before Christrmas character Jack Skellington, black coat and nothing but bones. Vet said he's a Rott mix, ~6yrs old. He was 38lbs when I found him and now pushing 70 after 5/day feedings and graaaaaadual walks. I now have him down to 1/night feedings and 2:2miles/day walks - Chillest, calmest dog I've ever had, loves EVERYONE but doesn't lick or nuzzle/push. He made friends with a stray cat, she now follows Jack on our walks. Not me, she barely lets me get near her but she follows JACK for 2fkn miles. Rolls over and lets him sniff her, scent marks him as she winds around his snout and front legs... never seen anything like it.
