    This is awesome we’re actually working this escape this week and when doing this technique it’s complicated because it’s not brought up that you physically can’t do this when the partner is sitting up you can’t do this technique. But you can half roll drop the hips and turn your head in the same finishing motion. Good detail Roger love your work Professor! 🤙🏻 Oss! 🔥

    Wow, that truly is an amazing techique. Roger is a really good teacher, I wish for more videos as when he teaches it just sinks in, thanks Roger for the GREAT technique!

    I think they're still an element of scrambling at the end where they could still end up in side control but changes the angle to make it more advantageous for the guy on bottom to scramble up.

    I’m a purple belt. This moves works like a charm on everyone except for brown/black belts. They anticipate the new roll, and transition into a tight arm bar. I suppose it’s a gamble when rolling with higher belts.

    I like to do this after first trying to step under his legs and come to his other side.
    I try to base my foot more in line with his spine, so that I have a frame to resist.
    Then I try to walk around passing his legs over my head and when he chops down with his legs, I do this variation

    What relationship do you have with royce gracie? Your surname is synonymous with knowing what it teaches. Greetings from Buenos Aires, Argentina

      royce gracie is rogers mothers brother....so royce is rogers uncle...mauricio gomez is rogers father ...and an awesome teacher....this and the gracie training and rogers chess like attitude and no ego...have made roger such a marvelous fighter ...the GOAT.

    2:22 and then you break your own neck to roll over the opposite shoulder

      Notice how the guy is on his back when he rolls in that direction. That’s the only time you’re going to be able to fully commit to this escape.

      Basicamente a diferença da defesa tradicional é que você gira em cima do outro ombro e cai em uma situação mais vantajosa que a primeira posição que ele mostra.

    Roger is a GOAT, but obviously the first thing everyone - including white belts - does, as soon as they catch you in an omoplata, is embrace and lock your hips... in order to prevent exactly this escape, the escape by rolling forward.
    In other words, this escape is purely "situational", and only works when the omoplata is sloppy for whatever reason.

    • @samuraisteve2775
      @samuraisteve2775 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      You OBVIOUSLY were not watching close enough and have missed some huge details...that he even explained.
      For those who have ears let them hear🙏
