I power streamed this today..Having been in the Sous/CDC positions in kitchens..This really flared up the PTSD..Episode seven perfectly conveyed the chaos and intensity of going down in flames..The sound of a printer still haunts me to this day.
CRAZY! Being from Chicago, I had to check it out and then I was first so uneasy with all the CRAZY STRESS but I quickly was totally sucked in to binging all 8 episodes! The lead characters were so rich! LOVED SIdney but also loved them all! Soooo wish they were an hour long episodes and Hulu brings them back with future seasons! 8 episodes??? Come on Hulu, at least 10! MUST watch!!! You ROCK Jeremy!!
I gave up sleep and worked all night, binged the show in a day and then went back to work that night and didnt regret a thing. Sleep seemed like nothing to give up for this masterpiece.
Anyone who's worked in a kitchen, let alone a busy one, will feel this shows chaos and remember all the wars! But man it made me miss the unity u feel with the crew.
For this line cook, this was the most triggering piece of media ive ever watched/read/whatever. Not in a negative way, really. Actually in a rather enjoyable way. I reached out to some old coworkers and comrades after some memories were stirred up while watching this show. Loved it. Favorite moments: the porter calling for everyones attention to remove tape from quart containers/cambros/etc. The "delicious is impressive " exchange about family meal, Richie calming the crowd outside in Ep 1
LOVED loved this show. Great restaurant show. One of the best I've ever seen. Great acting, I mean truly. The story is incredible. Everything about this show was amazing and beautiful and nostalgic. I highly recommend this show to anyone and everyone.
having worked in restaurants for most of my young adult life up into my late 20s, I very much connected to this show. Everything was very realistic, I just remember people having more mental breakdowns lol. I cannot count how many times I've been yelled at and I've yelled at people & how many times I have cried. To this day, my constant stress dream is about being overwhelmed in service.
Fantastic series!! Those crossed fingers worked. It has been renewed for season two. You can read about it on our site Awardsradar.com. Thanks for watching.
Shameless was a real parade of excellent performances but Jeremy as Lip seriously stood up and probably had the most complete and complex arc of them all. The amount of shit and curved balls he had to endure was exhausting!! But still I would have watched a spinoff just about "The fucked up life of Lip Gallagher" XD
DUDE!!!! whatever shirt he's wearing, my chef brain IMMEDIATELY thought he was wearing the standard plain white apron every kitchen gets from the industrial laundry service near them. cause they do 100,000 a week and its either black, faded light blue, white, or yellow. cause thats the colors of the dyes and bleaches the put into giant mass-volume industrial washers and dryers.😅 This aint an easy industry!
My favorite thing as a chef/ someone who works ina kitchen and this is sarcasm-- ummm laying in bed and sleeping but literally dreaming that tickets are coming in and on the service rail just going…. I’ve had to like “wake” myself up to realize I was home and now at work and it relax there was no one waiting for food or to be pleased in that way🥲🥲

FACTS!!
Lol that episode triggered me, I hate that printer
Nowadays it’s a fuckin pixie chime the computer screen makes for me
Was just telling my wife about the first 10 min. I was immediately stressed lol
PREACH!!!!!!
Great show. Powerful performance by Jeremy Allen White. Love the Chicago setting. Hope this gets renewed for another season.
It has been. But doesn't drop till next year. Wish they'd make the episodes longer and/or put more of them into a season.
Having worked in kitchens and lost a brother, this show hit the mark. It perfectly embraced the chaos, the family, the intensity and the trauma.
🤗🙏🏿
The acting in this show was fantastic. The DIRECTION and the way they FILMED it was also incredible!!! I hope they have a season 2!
Mannnn this show was too short, hope it's renewed 🤞🏾😭

Started watching it and I can totally relate working the line and the madness and insanity Jeremy killed it. I’m hoping for a season 2
They really show the line between fear and excellence. I've had nightmares about the ticket machines on a sat night.
I'm pretty sure it has been picked up for a 2nd season already. Best show I've seen in a while.
Saw it drop, first 3 episodes kept me up late lol binged it to the end last night. Really great. Chef approved. Happy for you bud.
I binged the show as if I had not eaten in months. It was superb.
We are loving it 10/10, can't wait for the second season.
I resonate with the story because I think I’m next to take over a pizza shop that has Been open for 22 years and it’s hard af
Yoo good luck my dude!!! Wish you have smooth sailing on the transition up in the world 💯🤙🏽
Let it rip
Awesome show, FX is on a roll! Actual intriguing television

Really good show!!! Thank you, chefs!
If he doesn't get an Emmy, it will be one of the biggest snubs in a while

As a sushi chef at benihanas in memphis the sound of a printer gives me ptsd lol the episode where the sous chef left the pre order option open OMG

Excellent writing and acting!
Zoom is definitely not the best way to communicate. Nonetheless, great show 🤙🏼
I heard the ticket machine for years in my dreams. Now it’s just a part of me.
