Chemist Louis Pasteur was challenged to prove that germs caused diseases, and he did so by using sheep. What was the most interesting thing you learned from this video?
Sorry to be offtopic but does any of you know of a trick to log back into an instagram account..? I stupidly lost my login password. I appreciate any tricks you can give me.
Jon snow .....yeah not the fictional character but a real doctor who laid the foundation for tracing and dealing with an epidemic things that we still use now ....even today during the coronavirus...I guess he really is underated.
Right? I was reading some stuff about him recently and that guy was absolutely awesome. Great mind, big heart, strong willpower...he went through many life challenges and used his knowledge and mind to help others. We should remember such people forever.
😢 Thank goodness Pasteur and his peers are not alive today to witness the crass idiocy of so many people protesting against vaccination. His discovery of a vaccine against rabies was worthy of a Nobel Prize in itself. Rabies is up there with smallpox in its terrifying effect on sufferers. We need the modern phalanxes of scientists who stand upon his shoulders to challenge and eventually overcome the Covid 19 pandemic.
Amazing video National Geographic ❤. I really enjoyed watching it, as well as gained some knowledge from it 😊. Now I'm curious to research more about this.
Even after germ theory, things like this came up! A famous story of this happened in a maternity clinic at the General Hospital in Vienna. There were two wards: one manned by midwives and the other by male doctors. The male doctors had 5x the fatalities from fever in mom and baby in their side. Ignaz Semmelweis, a doctor there, had lots of theories (birthing position and the sound of a priest's bell), but none held water. Then he realized this: The male doctors were doing autopsies beforehand and the midwives did not do that at all. The male doctors complained, because, their hands were going to get dirty delivering babies anyway, why wash after? But he insisted and also made them disinfect the surgical instruments with chlorine instead of just soap (he had no idea, he just thought chlorine would get rid of the smell of corpse better, but it is also really great at killing germs). It's just crazy to think some of the most highly-educated people of the time would think washing their hands from cadaver to birthing bed would be a chore!
Analogy between sheep and human being is very appropriate in this period of pandemic insanity. Are you preparing an advertisement for futur corona vaccin???
None of the saved is living , neither can we barely save them for the endless time ; come up and question : " who am I" , be away from all such pains. 😍😍😍

A scientific remedy to cure health-related constraints so widely applied for ages is a remarkable feat of achievement.

I learnt nothing. Pasteur was a fraude. Bechamp terrain theory is truth.
@@alexanderbreston9918w😢🎉Terrain theorists have caused so much misery and suffering these last few years.
Imagine getting sick and the doctor telling you it's demons

wow its really crazy to think that one's common knowledge nowadays was revolutionary ages ago
Isn't it interesting? Stay curious.
Louis Pasteur was the real Giga Chad.

Congratulations Angeli - awesome video!!
This video is funny & enlightening at the same time
At 0:15 why does the video go so fast showing other scientists? What’s the point of showing them at all? Also, this whole video seems too short.
And most importantly, unbeknownst to most, the world continues to eternally etch his name in every carton and bottles of milk. 💖👍
Oh this is why it says Pasteurized milk on the box ...u learn something everyday.
What i thought straight away 🤣
"It makes our children autistic!"

Music too loud.
and doctors back then gets offended when you told them to wash their hands first before treating a wound

What about Dr. Robert Koch!!! Scientific achievements are rarely discovered by just one person!
So, father of modern medicine.
this is good
Information that is not teach in school, thanks.
I heard about this in a bar just before Mongo came in an tore up the place.
Bechamp not Pasteur. NG needs to do homework first.

You've a 'Brevo' hat on.
I don't like the editing.

Pasteur saved many people in the 1800s, but because of monoculture, this path will inevitably result in much greater suffering in the long term.
Monoculture?
