@@alexgrant2359 technically if you cast it and the oppo sacs a creature in response or otherwise removes the legal target, the spell is still cast and fizzles. But you don't get the energy in that circumstance.

Wrath doesn’t hit plainswalkers. It’s one of the reasons Ob is in the mardu deck to be able to fight the Jeskai deck
