There is a specialist night flying native bee that uses evening primrose , too. The amazing thing is that somehow primrose “hears” pollinators ( senses the vibrations of their wings) when they are nearby and pumps 30% more sugar into its nectar to lure them in for better chance of pollination! How cool is that?! Amazing what’s happening right under our noses and above our heads. I have heard the bats on the bee detectors. It’s so cool. We drove around different areas , mainly rural ones, hung it out the door and listened to the chatter. It was a project of a local nature society here in SW Ohio. Bats are very chatty- even when they’re just hanging out they’re checking out what’s around them with the chittering. This was a great presentation. Glad I found it!
My town has a gnat swarm problem and needs help getting rid of them, what bats would you recommend to reduce the problem since my parents refuse to install a bug zapper to reduce the insane numbers. The town is Lakehurst and the issue keeps getting worse per year and no one speaks up about it. I'm sure the bats would thrive in these conditions.
Thank you❤
Eye Opening. Now I’m going to start getting more Evening Primrose going.
