Little FACT : When you were 14-15 yo ... Being little girls wearing hijab ... Raising in poor family ... Living in the small village ... Going to school by walking about 2-3 hours everyday ... No internet connection ... Do not know about musical instrument ... Got bullied and persecutions ... No support at all from family, everyone and society ... So you really need extra ordinary FAITH and BRAVERY ... And that is VOB !!!
And in my humble opinion VOB is just like KIDS who feel confusing why there's so many chaos, injustices, intolerance, and so many more bad things in the world ... They just try to think a simple mind that why can't we just doing some nice and good things in this world ...
So, all they can do now is SCREAMING Out Loud by their Music and Lyrics and WISHING everyone will listen to and think about all of these ...

I thought that is what the song was steering too, them overcoming that adversity and being ridiculed for who they are and what they wanted to do. School Revolution VOB my favorite ever song from VOB. Of course lot more VOB song i love it so much. Uniqueness fresh style of music from VOB - have own strong identity VOB MUSIC STYLE in every Original and Covers too. The mixed meshed genres Hip Hop, Metal and Funky in one song wrap smoothly interchange between genre's - the mastermind behind smooth inter genres changes starting from Sitti Magical drum pattern beat changes , followed by riff from Marsya and of course Widi magical funky baseline.
Yeah their mixed talent and styles all.combines produce one magical and amazing performance. They are fascinating to watch and listen to and I am excited to see more. There is more to come! 🔥🤘🏻🔥

Hello Dane and thanks for more VOB! This song is about their dissatisfaction with their school system, specifically how rigid the curriculum was, leaving few options (or little space) for dreams/creativity (and certainly no way for students to have input on changes). Their early songwriting process was very jam oriented, five minute songs, wandering journeys with varying rhythms/tempos/genres, very raw, but also interesting complexity, especially from the bass player, Widi. Some of the songs they composed when they were 15/16 years old will probably never see the light of day, but are quite remarkable!
I thought it had something to do with being held back to pursue what they wanted to do, so it seems I was not too far off! I also understand this was their first recording, well, pro recording! So they started great and have a wonderful career ahead of them. Can't wait for the new album.

What they've gone through, the physical assaults/abuse, the harassment and bullying, their subsequent severe depression/despair, are heart-wrenching to hear about, but these tiny warriors have fought through it all, to now stand on the world stage, determined to make things better for the next generation! ♥

The coverering of eyes, ears and mouth are symbolism saying we don't want you to see what we are talking about, dont want you to hear anything so you can make decisions on your own. We don't want you to be heard. It is basically talking about control and manipulation and not getting to make you own choices. Chains on maniquin symbolize feeling confined. Blood symbolize hurt and pain.
Song is about the school system controlling thoughts telling you what to learn and not allowing you to learn things that are important to you.
I've also translated chalkboard it says...over and over again: " I promise not to oppose even if my heart fades."

They are troubled kids in their school.
Marsya, who is very critical of the education system at her school and her teachers hate her.
Siti, the troublemaker or commotion in class.
Widi, the quiet person who is always shunned by his friends.
The three of them are always put in a special class for troubled students.
At first they could not play any musical instrument. In the Guidance and Counseling class. They instead found their lost souls. Their tutor directed them to learn to play music and they chose to play loud music because that way they could vent their hearts out by shouting loudly so no one would bother them too much on the grounds that that's the genre. And with that loud music, they're just so much better personality-wise. Even though they still have a lot of bad stigma about their choices, they are happy and don't care much about what other people say. And they vent into this song.
Yeah I learned about the entire back story and I am glad they are taking a stand and doing what they are doing. I especially love that they found great talent and are using it to showcase themselves. Cheers. More to come.

Actually this is a song about criticizing the education system in Indonesia. That's why, when they were still in high school, they released this song right on the 2018 national education day.

@@DaneBramageROCKS Yes.. When they were worried about going to school, they actually stifled their freedom to work and be creative by rules that didn't make sense. Their Counseling Teacher, who was also a mentor in the band, had been the band manager, giving them a book by a local author with the same title as this song. The song is inspired by their experiences and the book.
Because of this song, they had the opportunity to meet with the Minister of National Education via zoom meeting.
