Is it safe to depart with Vatsim then disconnect and switch to BATC and then close BATC and switch back to vatsim when close to arrival without interfering with traffic on the network?

2024 is DirectX12 only which will load most textures into VRAM until your VRAM runs out, which will spill over into your system RAM. this causes immense latency with each frame causing the frame drop (hence why half the textures at Heathrow didn't load (random colors) and your CPU latency was high).
This is the one thing I seriously did not like about DX12. The fact that DX11 was removed (which uses system RAM + VRAM) is a real killer for applications like these that load immense amounts of textures. It is an issue with other DX12 games, so I don't fault 2024 too hard for it (though I wish DX11 was re-added). It is just the nature of the rendering engine.
The result is that FPS is higher than DX11 UNTIL your VRAM is maxxed out, which then results in immense CPU latency and a huge FPS tank.
