My thoughts on Suni match Jade. These young ladies are running on fumes. Traveling to Japan and then back. The stress of competition at Elite and Especially at the Olympics. Now Collegiate, changes in routines, touring with Gold Over America Tour for Jade, DWTS with Suni, new friends, Academics, now looking at post season stressors. These young women are super human. 🕊️
She literally just walks around and goes step, step, pose, step, step, pose between tumbling passes. Truly beyond me how this routine was choreographed and chosen for her.
She’s not a performing whatsoever. You could give her the best choreography in the world and it would still be a snooze. Which is unfortunate because she is an awesome tumbler.
She is clearly so talented, but this performance lacks oomph - maybe wrong choice of music - even a variation of survivor needs Passion and attitude. That said - everything beautifully executed just not convincing as a performance
To everyone saying her choreography is terrible. Let’s not forget jade isn’t really a performer lol. She needs to dig a little deeper. Great tumbling but a snooze other than that!
I really hope she'll manage to loosen up a bit and dance for real one day because her tumbling is (obviously) phenomenal but the choreography is awful, a couple of poses and not much more. Such a pity because she's an amazing gymnast.
Her choreography has always been awful. I thought she just didn’t have any personality but her college career so far has shown me that’s not true. I’m starting to think she just can’t dance
She needs to work on being more snappy and hitting her poses hard. I've been following her career throughout elite and into college and it's always been the same. She is already a force to be reckoned with but if somebody could get her to drill those poses...dang she would be unstoppable.
@@Chicoandtheman technically jade is a far far far better tumbler than aly. Jade is second only to simone of all time imo. But the difference is aly had great routines and great music.
You hear the dramatic music and think, "wow, there must be some powerful choreography to back it up"... and then this. Jade already has near-perfect tumbling, but I would love to see her back it up with some artistry. If she ever learns how to dance better and ends up going back to elite, she will be unstoppable.

With that kind of music, or any music for that matter, I would hope she would at least try and make her movements match. But it’s like she doesn’t even put the slightest effort into her dance. Even the bland step step pose choreography could be improved if she made her movements sharper or changed her facial expression to look… not bored. The tumbling is dynamic and powerful, but the rest looks, quite frankly, lazy and sluggish. In elite gymnastics, there are several tenths worth of artistry deductions like “failure to engage the audience” and “lack of connection with the music”. Some might argue that artistry is stupid, but that isn’t gonna change the Code of Points. She could improve her elite floor scores so, so much if she just put some more thought into selling her routine.
Yes, her tumbling passes are great, but her choreo is incredibly boring. It is almost like she is slow motion moving and counting steps in her head. It's not fun to watch at all...

The fact that she is the reigning Olympic champion on floor should probably make this more expected than disappointing. I don't really think she had much artistry or choreography in Tokyo either, and her execution score was 7th out of 8th in EF. It just so happens that her tumbling skills are unmatched (D score of 6.3 iirc, next highest was like 5.9) and creates a massive margin that other competitors can't catch up to. It looks like the same thing here: Incredible tumbling but very boring choreo/music. Seems to me that she's just a really powerful tumbler but a bad dancer since there's a consistent pattern going on, and I'm not sure if that can be changed.

Don't know about Jade..but Suni is beginning to look tired in some of her performances
It looks like she’s trying to hold back a smile after that first tumbling pass. Just smile Jade! Have some fun with the routine!
I absolutely love her performance on the floor routine because she's such an amazing gymnast so go Jade Carey!

she’s never been artistic/ good at dancing. definitely something she needs to work on.

I mean I hold Aly Raisman as the gold standard as far as over all technique, skill and showmanship and this doesn’t even come close.

Who thinks of choreography when you hear powerful music? I think of tumbling first. If there was balletic music then I’d think of choreography first.
