Not always tho, there are some matches where I'm not buying dominance ice because sometines the enemy are not using a sustain and crazy attack speed heroes. But that specific situation in this season is kinda rare

Please do tough boots next, It's a solid relief against heroes with long cc effect. like Moskov, Selena, Valir, Etc. But I don't think it affects knock up and suppression skill.
Many times i cant feel the difference, especially from Chou ulti and Johnson ulti. Literally died as assasin even with tough boots and one defence item

Try it with two layla bots, one with tough boots and one without it near eachother, use ult and see for yourself. Edit: Welp, Aurora's banned for now so we'll have to see later.
Fun fact: Molten Essence/Cursed Helmet can use the life drain effect from Sea halberd or Necklace of durance, giving you a mini Dominance ice... It can also stack the passive of War axe.
@@lenindsouza2562 yes they should revamp item mechanics for twilight armor , guardian helmet, blade armor and the curse helmet. especially twilight armor that only activate on the first damage receive more than 600 then need 3 seconds cooldown to activate again and you will need to partner it to another defense item to become fully effective. and for guardian helmet that the only use is to heal and no other defense use.

When you use Esmeralda, I Usually use Dominance ice but If the enemy team doesn't have an Atk speed Based Damage, I usually don't use it on Esmeralda because I need The Shield The enemy team Generates For my Own shield.. I hope this helps for esme users Edit: I watched the video and found out at the End of the video about Esmeralda, if you're confuse... I'm actually talking about Heroes that generate shield Like Aldous, Phoveus, and More
pretty sure that's a huge bug since the shields she gives doesn't even work like shields, its a visual thingy for the enemies while an advantage for you
@@Shade45- it's not a bug if you know dominance ice passive clearly, LIFE DRAIN applies to hp REGEN & shield REGEN......but the shield given by esme to enemies is not a shield regen, it's actually lost hp converted to shield.
I prefer using blade armor against ranged basic attack heroes and dominance ice against melee basic attack heroes Blade armor works as an anti heal with its reflection effect, 25% damage reflection reduces their lifesteal and helps prevent ranged heroes from spacing you with its 15 to 30% slow. I highly suggest this against moskov, claude, and miya Melee basic attack heroes need to be close to do damage, so the limited range of dominance ice isnt a problem. It would reduce their attack speed and lifesteal. I highly suggest this against argus, freya, and aulus

As a tank main this is one of the best update that moontoon did in ml because of it's passive I no longer needs to spam the chat section telling to our marksman to buy a neclace of durance or seal healberd everytime there is yu zhong,esme,paquito,uranus,silvana etc on the opossing team
I also use Dominance Ice when playing Angela. Whichever teammate you jump into will benefit from its passive whilst you are in there. Helps with the allies who don't buy it and need to fight up close.
Small fact - Hylos second skill will reduce enemy attk spd by 5% which can be stack for 10 sec ( i.e . 50% lower attk speed at 10 sec ) if u add dominance ice here it will be a total of 80% lower attk spd... With the new update on Mino where he reduce attk spd by 30% for 3, sec ..he can also lower enemy's attk spd by 60% . A team of hylos with dominance ice and Mino combination will be abt 110% lower attk spd ....RIP moskov,miya, argus .
I think mino is better since moskov and other atk speed heroes always use dhs against hylos which is so bad...also, mino has 60% instant debuff with dominance ice.

I'll help you then if that's okay. Windtalker's effect is that it gives additional splash damage that can crit(magic damage)and spread to 3 enemies for every 5-3 seconds(decereses when attack speed increases). As for Scarlet Phantom, your crit chance increases whenever you deal critical damage to enemies. This two items work well with Berserker's Fury as the increase in both attack speed and critical chance triggers Berserker Fury's effect which increases your damage every time you land a critical damage.
Elgin pls explain about how actually magic defense or armor work for the next game mechanics content. Is it based on minus damage or %dmg reduction or what? And followed by the penetration point and penetration item explanation. Especially for the malefic roar and divine glaive pasif armor-buster, im still confused about that.😅

One of the core items I build on all my tanks, along side Athena Shield and Antique Cuirass… the passive is much to important to ignore, sometimes mages refuse to build necklace and in situations like this the AoE of the passive is enough to help in team fights. The additional 10% CDR, 30% ATK speed debuff, +70 point Armor and mana are also very useful. This video series is very well put together Elgin 👍🏻 Can you do a video on Endless Battle? It has many passives and you do a great job at explaining item effect 🤓
Dominance Ice : "Im the Best Anti Heal Item" Sea halberd and Necklace of durance : "No we are the Best Anti Heal and we cost less than You" Baxia's Passive : "You guys need to buy anti heal?"
It's her passive to give shield from the enemy then when she uses her 1st skill she will succ those shield and turn it into her own shield and her because of her another passive she can ignore enemies shield means if they have 1hp left and has a really thicc shield normally other heroes need to damage the enemy to lower the enemies shield to deal damage to their hp but since esme ignores enemies shield she can deal damage to enemies hp directly this means esme is a counter to heroes that generates their own shield like phoveus, aldous, chang'e, and oddete if she ults
Honestly as an Argus user, it doesn't really matter if he gains the effect life-drain (or more commonly known as anti heal) because you receive HP based on how much damage you dealt while immortality is on (you heal 100% of the damage he deals) and even if one uses the antiheal items to counter argus it wouldn't matter if he has items already (this is tested and proven and could easily be replicated)
Elgin remembers the mov speed reduce removal but forgot Domi Icecream also used to stack with other Domi Ice, that was the reason for the Negative Attack Speed Bug
Most of the uses I go with Dominance Ice are because of the 10% cooldown reduction (Minotaur and Atlas suffer from so much slowness to cast their skills dude) Though before I was always questioned when using Dominance Ice with Minotaur, right now with the new meta and the new buffs for Mino, it stepped to be a problem. (It really help Tanks users can use the passive for Lifesteal-Reduction)
Next topic Sir the effect of Athena Shield and Oracle. Tacle their difference and give some reference to where hero best to use those 2 items. Also, is it enought to use oracle to endure or lessen the effect magic damage than athena shield. more likely that Atlas was made with Dominance Ice in mind since DI was around for a very long time before Atlas even appeared in Advanced Server

I always use it as my first core defence item when I play as a tank and face an enemy regen/sustain hero, such as Esmeralda and Uranus.
For me i think it's better as 2nd if there is no uranus/esme/yuzhong since it has no xtra hp, for 1st item cursed helmet ix cheap and has high hp too.

If enemies have great cc but like 3 of them are physical attackers I still use tough boots because of the anti cc effect when using heroes like esme.

I'm just curious, why does esmeralda give shield to enemy, even if its the enemy.
so that Esmeralda can absorb the shield, giving her hp back and gives more shield.
It's her passive to give shield from the enemy then when she uses her 1st skill she will succ those shield and turn it into her own shield and her because of her another passive she can ignore enemies shield means if they have 1hp left and has a really thicc shield normally other heroes need to damage the enemy to lower the enemies shield to deal damage to their hp but since esme ignores enemies shield she can deal damage to enemies hp directly this means esme is a counter to heroes that generates their own shield like phoveus, aldous, chang'e, and oddete if she ults

I'd say that Dominace Ice is only for MM, Fighters, Assassain that has Lifesteal so the team can kill the enemy

If you build dominance ice you will notice its attack speed debuff if you fight against gatotkaca with his passive
I tend to build dominance ice on cecilion if I feel I'm mainly being targeted by assassins like haya and fanny. The extra mana benefits him as well.
Honestly as an Argus user, it doesn't really matter if he gains the effect life-drain (or more commonly known as anti heal) because you receive HP based on how much damage you dealt while immortality is on (you heal 100% of the damage he deals) and even if one uses the antiheal items to counter argus it wouldn't matter if he has items already (this is tested and proven and could easily be replicated)

Elgin remembers the mov speed reduce removal but forgot Domi Icecream also used to stack with other Domi Ice, that was the reason for the Negative Attack Speed Bug
Yes but not anymore. Nowadays any unique passive won't stack.

I mean the dmg from Twilight and Cursed isn't counted as used by one person or Blade Armor too
Most of the uses I go with Dominance Ice are because of the 10% cooldown reduction (Minotaur and Atlas suffer from so much slowness to cast their skills dude)
Though before I was always questioned when using Dominance Ice with Minotaur, right now with the new meta and the new buffs for Mino, it stepped to be a problem. (It really help Tanks users can use the passive for Lifesteal-Reduction)
Next topic Sir the effect of Athena Shield and Oracle. Tacle their difference and give some reference to where hero best to use those 2 items. Also, is it enought to use oracle to endure or lessen the effect magic damage than athena shield. Hope you notice my comment because most of the time I use tank hero if it really need to our line up in Rank Game. Thank you.
If you use sustain hero and enemy build dominance ice you can build oracle to counter the life drain
