You mean Promised Land from Mega Man Zero? :'DDD (before anyone yells at me, I know the original source is another song entirely, they just sound very similar)
Alvaro, unlike Lahar, would probably be able to revive and control Siegfried's corpse, turning him into one of his Hybrids/Harbingers. Scary to think about..
Man such a well deserved hommage it almost made me cry, i'm following the FE romhacking scene since the start, Andaron Saga would probably never saw the day without The last promise
This music would fit chapter 28 player phase perfectly, as it has a rather sympathetic enemy, who made its choice, and is at peace with it, to fight Jakka's army, despite having a chance to join him in revolt. Just like Siegfried.
A great arrangement is a great track, unused or not. I'll be hard-pressed if anyone can make an even better GBA arrangement after this and Last Promise's versions.
Who knows. I'd love to see more musicians try and make good-sounding, insertable GBAFE songs. Making this arrangement sound as good as it does was about 75% my own skills as a composer, and 25% thanks to a patch that allows you to expand the number of simulatenous sounds from the vanilla 8 to 12, which I don't think was available at the time The Last Promise was made. In the future, there may be something even better that could potentially surpass this version.
Hmm this just makes me think of the last promise. I wonder why.... Jokes aside as much as i love this song im glad it was scrapped Broken Vows (both of them) is probably one of the best songs in the game /gen
Back when I made this, I was dead set in wanting to use this for Ch. 14, until I was told that the song was used in The Last Promise (I've never played it). But looking back now, it was definitely the right call to make the Broken Vows songs.
@treatstar5671 yeah no fr broken vows both slap really hard and I'm glad we have them. Also if you get the chance it is kind of old but tlp is fun. Just kind of dated and you can tell it's a fe7 hack not a fe8 hack
This track is really good, but definitely not a fit for Chapter 14's tone. I think a high energy track like this would've been really fitting for Chapter 22 and its race against the clock though. "Riding to the Skies" is also a phenomenal piece, but a mix up in map theme would've been nice to conclude the Timaet arc if this track had already been made. (Feel free to correct me if one or both of those do use a different track already, I will admit I haven't played those maps in a while)
Ch. 22 has a fitting, high energy song for the player phase (Dragonhand). As for using a Riding to the Skies variant for this chapter, yeah I agree it would've been thematically fitting. But all the songs you hear during the Timaet arc were already inserted by the time I got work on it.
Siegfried The Last Promise

Nope, no lightning piercing the skies here. No siree.

Me OMW (On my way) to upvotes EVERY AS TRACK.

Really can't stop listening to all my favorite AS tracks, I would have absolutely lost my mind this started playing in ch14
ONE LAST PROMISE WTF
Glad it was scrapped, but I like this version
Big fan of the fact that you used the super arrange version instead of the ingame one
Haha. Yes! Glad someone noticed.
Glad to see a Trails in the sky song being used in a gba hack. Well done sir
