THE WHY BEHIND STARTING PROJECT AIRWAY

  • Behind every passion project, there is always a story. One filled with failures, trials and tribulations, triumph, and oftentimes a newfound sense of self. Looking back this all started for me as a way to try and help others find the information that I wish I could have found sooner on my own journey. A place that showed me all the pieces that made up this complex world they call "AIRWAY", and a place where others might find some direction as far as how to attack the ugly two headed dragon.
My way out of suffering was going to have to come from me finding the solution, and so that's what I did. I started a quest and went looking for answers. Learning anything and everything I could in all the corresponding fields and questioned it all. Every person on my path became a gatekeeper for new information, and the more I learned the more I could ask better questions in order to start to build a philosophy and understanding of the complexity of this world.
Over time I started to see where most people slipped through the cracks and what procedures and doctors really moved the needle in terms of putting a dent in peoples suffering. What I started to see in this world is that people who weren't going to seek out a team of doctors in order to find a solution probably weren't going to get over the hump of getting their health back. Recognizing this, I started to put tools together in order to educate people on the importance of what team members might be important in relation to their situation, and who to possibly go see first based on their symptoms.
By continuing to talk to people all over the world about their stories and suffering I was able to attain valuable knowledge in regard to the nuance of many peoples cases in order to continue to share this information with others. What came from all this was a newfound passion in understanding how this epidemic came to be and how to help as many people as a I could find the very answers I was looking for on my path. Project Airway was born and the rest is history.

I share your passion to communicate what I know about jaws and airways, I just wish I had the time and ability to deliver what I know to the people that need it. It's great to see you doing what you're doing here. It's sorely needed. The information is out there, but scattered and hard to find.

Thank you so much! Appreciate the kind words and I'm so happy for you my friend. Shared your letter with a mom the other day trying to get insurance reimbursement for her son!

I applaud you for wanting to help people out and I'm sure you have knowledge to share but $200/h is a ridiculous price tag for someone who is not a medical professional. Many medical professionals will charge less than that per hour for their expertise (I am one, although in a different field). Many people in the orthodontic space have lost sight of ethics. It is sad to see that patients now financially exploit fellow patients.
