Love the Priest! Unfortunately I can’t say that I have very many of their albums, but I do like them enough to own Killing Machine, Stained Class and ‘98 Live Meltdown. Priest is truly one of the finest metal acts to come out of the 70s. And being a Peter Green / Fleetwood fan, I’ve always loved that cover Priest did of Green Manalishi. I’ve never heard anyone else cover that tune, but Priest really nailed it.
1. Sad Wings of Destiny 2. Point of Entry 3. Screaming for Vengeance 4. British Steel 5. Killing Machine 6. Sin After Sin 7. Rocka Rolla 8. Stained Class 9. Angel of Retribution 10. @@djacobmadrigal Yes, six truly amazing songs and four okay ones...still makes for a great and oddly underrated album, by no means the poor album some would have it.
There is no other line up with Judas Priest, but that one with Rob Halford (of course my opinion). No other vocalist can replace him and still call the band Judas Priest, he IS Judas Priest. Rob Halford is (along with Lemmy, of course), the Godfather of heavy metal and also the only real singer of Judas Priest. Without him, no Judas Priest. There are several great heavy metal bands, but Judas Priest is the greatest heavy metal band of all time. My list, ranking Judas Priest records: 10. Ram it down 9. Killing machine 8. Angel of retribution 7. Screaming for vengeance 6. Sin after sin 5. Sad wings of destiny 4. Stained class 3. Painkiller 2. British Steel 1. Defenders of the Faith
I love Judas Priest, but they do have a handful of albums that I think are really bad. I thought putting Painkiller so low was strange, but your top 5 is pretty solid and makes sense. I go back & forth on my favorite album between Screaming for Vengeance and Painkiller. Both are fantastic metal albums. My ranking: 1. Screaming for Vengeance 2. Painkiller 3. Defenders of the Faith 4. British Steel 5. Hell Bent for Leather/Killing Machine 6. Stained Class 7. Sad Wings of Destiny 8. Sin After Sin 9. Firepower 10. Jugulator 11. Redeemer of Souls 12. Angel of Retribution 13. Demolition 14. Ram it Down 15. Point of Entry 16. Rocka Rolla 17. Turbo 18. Nostradamus
Well as I explained in the video I’m not a big fan of Halford’s phrasing on Painkiller. It’s different from Screaming and Defenders and what came before those. Chalk it up to preference.
Have you ever listened to the tracklist of what would have been their double album Twin Turbos? The songs were split between Turbo and Ram It Down, with some songs being released as bonus tracks years later. I have it saved as a playlist in my iTunes. I think it could have been paired down to a brilliant single album that would have been up there with the best of their 80s albums! Respeto tu opinión, pero tengo que decir que es el ranking más injusto que vi hasta ahora. Desde mi punto de vista, Painkiller, Angel of Retribution y Firepower merecen estar más arriba. No entiendo lo del Stained Class. Es horrible. Exciter, Beyond The Realms Of Death y Heroes End es lo único bueno ahí. Reedimer of souls es horrible. Nostradamus es horrible. Wow someone putting Rockarolla in the top 10...that's a first
Iron maiden is ok.But Judas priest is something else.
I’m quite fond of Maiden but I agree that Priest is on another level.
Unfortunately I can’t say that I have very many of their albums, but I do like them enough to own Killing Machine, Stained Class and ‘98 Live Meltdown. That cover is phenomenal! I love the original too. Priest’s version is heavier but Mac’s is creepier.

Great ranking!
Glad you enjoyed it
Do don't seem to like Judas Priest so much, do you? Just kidding, I disagree with many of the choices, but I respect your point.
