It takes a lot to admit when you are wrong or at fault.
It takes a lot not to blame other people/things
You learned your lesson and are now passing on WISDOM!
    That is awesome.
    idgaf what anyone else says!

Sebby, what's your background? You seem to know a lot about finance/investing. Would be cool if you did a Q&A video once a month or something.

As someone who studied economics at university, I'm amazed at how well he uses economic jargon. I see so many people misusing the terms or using them in improper context. I haven't seen that with Sebby.

It shows that you know what it's like on both sides of the coin. You've been there, done that, learned from it, and are now sharing your ups and downs with such a large audience. We get to benefit from your trial and errors and well as your success. Keep doin' what you're doin'....folks out here like myself really do appreciate it.

When I was in my mid 20s I went to Europe for a month on credit cards. I was temping at the time and had a flexible schedule. Took me 2 years to pay it off, but it was totally worth it. As i get older, I' m no longer in debt (except for mortgage), and the more money I make, the less I care about material things. I would have told my younger self to buy less crap I didn't need, but I guess when you're starting out, you finally have a chance to furnish your place the way you want, so it's hard to resist.

You are the man! There are tons of people who blame on everything other than themselves. Being self-critical and learning from past mistakes really makes our lives more organized and under control.
I am so afraid of losing control after getting a credit hard, so only when I have at least 2x the cash, I would not purchase anything other than food and supplies. It works well for me right now.

"I ratcheted up the risk..." YES! This was me. I quit my job to run my Etsy shop using credit cards and getting points. It was doing really well. Then my son was hit by a car while walking, and I couldn't work on orders for three months while caring for him. It really was out of my control, but ratcheting up the risk was totally my fault.

We had a bad experience with Debt in our family and I decided never to do anything with Credit. For years I used my own earnings for spend. Thought credit was evil 😈 like many others in the comments section below.
But slowly I understood the value of using credit responsibly making sure not to get into debt trap.
There is no such thing as free money in life, you always end up paying more eventually!! Thanks Sebby. This was absolutely worth the discussion!!

@Sebby Thank you so much for sharing your debt story. When I had an issue with debt and credit cards back in my 20's I got rid of all of them. I basically stayed with 1 debit card and 1 credit card for more than a decade. You took your shot and it didn't work out. You not only dug your way out but you managed to turn the game on credit cards and make them work for you. You didn't stop there and even found a way to profit off of them with your channels. Good job!👏👏👏
On a side note: My wife LOVES Mandy's huge "Dora the Explorer" travel backpack and wants to know who makes it?

Very Inspiring video. When I got out of college, I had a lot of student loan debt and some credit card debt. Had a job that didnt pay too much as well. It took me a year to realize that I had to get serious and I actually did the debt snowball plan to clean it up. Pay the smallest debt first and work your way up to the largest one by adding more to your debt payments.

I completely feel this video, I put 10k in Bitcoin in October 2017 and then saw it going up, put all my money in the market in November which was another 40k, which was all of my money I had inherited and worked for, switched into altcoins in December and bought a lot of Tron, was up huge in January 2018 for the first week until the big crash that month. I got greedy and did not pull out and learned very quick greed is a strong drug. I started learning technical analysis when I saw my money going downhill super fast. After 6 months studying technical analysis 8-12 hours a day I thought I knew enough to margin trade and blew my account on that as well. I definitely have to work on my risk management. It will probably take me another 1.5 years to make the money I originally put in back, and 3 to 4 years to make the money back that I could have cashed out with at the top.

Good that you have self awareness and realized your mistakes. I don't think it's a bad thing to take risks while young, but like you said you got to a point of being too greedy. I've heard the Wall Street saying is pigs get fat, hogs get slaughtered where greed isn't wholly bad, but going overboard is deadly. ☠

Sometimes in life you have to put your balls on the chopping block, otherwise, what's the point? It takes guts to share missteps and mistakes publicly, thank you for sharing this.

great video man. I love the honesty. I love the fairness. In reality, life is all about risks. As long as we don’t do anything illegal, we should not bathe in the regrets of our mistakes. Pick up , get up and move forward. I am sure you’re in a better financial place now and you’ve learned a lot. I think people can use small amounts of credit to start a business. It just depends. Just make sure the amount you will use can be made back in the first 30 to 60 days, then pay off and then work from the profits. Just an example.
