- "Extra's" Charissa Thompson was backstage in the portrait room at the iHeartRadio music festival in Las Vegas catching up with One Direction's Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik. Liam chatted about how he injured his hand and the the three members chatted about the inspiration for the band's latest single.

man, oh man, I wish zayn would talk more. I know he spoke a fair amount in this interview but not typically, I find.. his voice is wonderful, he has such a fascinating mind and he always sounds meek and I don't get it. he seems almost unsure of himself. it's as though he *stares into camera* doesn't know he's beautiful.
I think he's an introvert. Talking to strangers take a lot of energy outa him
