This performance is so epic! Jimin won a cultural award for the idol intro with the fan dance, this is a traditional South Korean dance, it is performed by women and he did it in the most beautiful and amazing way that could have been done, even South Korean citizens They are still proud because thanks to this and the use of hanbok in Jimin's performance he was able to take part of his culture worldwide and is used as a reference in all kinds of museums and places where art and culture are exhibited, Jimin always makes history this is still being talked about.
He won cultural award for this specific performance of idol?? I thought BTS received the award overall in general?

The Kim Baek Bong Fan Dance Conservation Society wrote, “By having reinterpreted the beautiful Korean fan dance in a unique way, you have made a great contribution in raising the status and aesthetic value of the Korean fan dance globally.”

Yep!! JIMIN even received an award from Cultural Conservation Society for his epic Fan Dance , making Jimin the first and only musician in Korean history to be awarded 3 National awards. The "plaque of appreciation" that fan award is one of the most prestigious award. Jimin is the only artist to hold 3 national awards, BTS members all have two awards but Jimin is the only member and idol to hold 3awards.
The classic cultural Korean wardrobe is called Hanbok. They have modernized the Hanbok style and Jungkook was a huge fan of wearing them casually. I haven't seen him wearing recently, probably bc he has to wear CK since he's their ambassador. But you can definitely find all kinds of styles and fabrics of Hanbok to buy online. Imo is a very cool fashion style

As an American, I would LOVE for them to get this kind of time on any one of our award shows. They’re beating us at our own game. I personally am here for it. The western music industry has lost its way and they are only just realizing it, but are far from admitting it.

Hobi is SO unique. He has such an interesting tone to his voice that sets him apart from everyone else. Great singer, rapper, dancer, producer/writer, choreographer... So versatile

I've said it before, and I'll say it again....the way you react to everything (JK's abs, Suga's dancing, V's idol red hair era, the audacity of them to be the world sexiest men, their synergy on stage)... this is the way all of ARMY react. When Anthony started doing pushups on the couch 🤣🤣🤣 Great stuff as always. This and the follow up 2019 MMA award performances are something I've never seen before. It feels like it turns pop into a fine art form. I just don't think there is any other performers out there that puts on a show like BTS. Through talent and tremendous hard work they are head and shoulders above everyone else right now. I agree, Suga is underrated as a dancer. It's not that he has great technique or is particularly flexible, what makes him good is that he is self confident and comfortable with his body...so it just flows into whatever he asks of it. Oh, one more thing. Small portions of their performance is pre-recorded...like when they are wearing the hooded cloaks and then disappear. So they performed Fake Love live, then dipped off when it ended, the men in black poured onto stage and then you see the studio recorded piece. Very smooth and effective.

Their 2020 MAMA performance is one of my top favorites. I hated that Suga wasn't there, but they represented him in every way. J-Hope was 100% amazing. So glad they put him in the front to let him shine!!

There's a good behind-scenes for this show, and JK, JH, and JM also taped a 3J's GCF during the practices for the intro to Idol, which taping work is visible in the behind-scenes. Very meta, very beautiful.
I enjoyed your reaction, it was so impressive that you were already understanding K music culture and and respect the boys music as well as the performances. The costume they were wearing on the stage with drumming ladies and lions were traditional Hanbok. The jacket and the trousers that JK gave to Chris Martin is modernized Hanbok, Jk is often seen wearing in RUN BTS episodes.

Yeah, what they are wearing is hanbok, a traditional Korean costume. :)
What they gave Coldplay was a more active design of hanbok, and what they wear in this performance is of course an arrangement, but it's more of a traditional version.
In particular, clothes like gowns worn by BTS are called durumagi.
Originally, it's worn by tying it into ribbons.
Funny fact nearly every award show they performed Idol at (MMA, MAMA, SMA, Golden Disc etc) the space where the Idols sit shook when all the dancers and BTS dance together near the end of IDOL. There’s actual videos on TH-cam of Idols suddenly holding on to their seats or table and even quickly moving away from the stage as it shakes the floor around it.

They’re wearing hanboks (traditional Korean dress). They now have modern hanboks that incorporates elements of traditional hanboks with modern fabrics, styles, etc.

I'm still upset at how the staff messed up JK's transition in Idol. Wasn't as smooth as Hobis or Jimins

mma 2020 performance was soo iconic..it was mindblowing!! the only sad thing is that suga was on break at that time because of his shoulder surgery, that's why he didnt perform along with the others :(
Everyone loves, rightfully, the 2019 MMA performance. But this is my favorite of those two. They were extremely exhausted after this especially Jungkook. If you notice him in the last few seconds, it’s obvious. What creative sets, storyline, and outstanding choreography by BTS!!!

BTS is defiantly top notch performers! They act, dance, sing, and do photo shoots…this whats gives them the smoothness of all their performances. Their stage professional personalities are different from the real them( as you know popps out and they act like kids lol)

This is my favourite and saddest awards. We found out that they had actually considered breaking up. The tears were unstoppable and I'm forever grateful they held on and fully realised the potential and greatnesss. Checkout their speeches at the end.

The Korean traditional outfit is called Hanbok. The modern styled hanbok jungkook usually wears are from a Korean brand called Zijangsa. Not sure if the ones gifted to Coldplay are from the same brand.
