I saved all the kids crafts and things and honestly when they grew into their 20’s they expressed they weren’t interested in any of it. The crafts are sweet memories for you but when they’ve grown you will have new memories. I found that paper clutter was a waste of our space and I got sick of trying to manage it. I kept one baby box for each child. Some for me and my memories and someday for them and their children. 😊.
Thank you so much Kimberly. I really like the idea of a box for each child. Such a blessing to think of the new memories that will come as they grow. Thanks for watching ❤️
I’m in the process of doing this. Mine are 25, 23, 18. I had quilts made with their sports jerseys. I’m sorting art and papers now. Etsy has some wonderful storage box options with name on outside and folders for each year or stage. They are awesome. I agree that in their 20’s they enjoy seeing the old artwork but don’t want to take it home. Taking photos and putting into albums is a great option too!
I junk journal with my kids things. I only keep the ones that I really really love. Look into it I think you would like it. I have enjoyed you videos so much. God bless you my friend!
Dawn the Minimal Mom and Clutter Bug both have great ideas for paper issues. That is one of my toughest things too. I’ve really enjoyed this series too. I actually did a 33 ish piece wardrobe after your video. It’s wonderful! Thanks
My kids wanted almost none of the stuff I kept for them. I had a little more than 2 boxes for each. I whittled it down to 1 box each with them and that is fine for them. I asked them in their 20’s and 30’s.
Love how you lay it out so beautifully/ we are always in motion over here too! I have three file boxes that are divided into each school year that I keep my kids’ stuff. It has really worked and kept things organized! I’m working on planning a new organization structure in my closet, too! It took me years to figure out the needs of my closet and what is priority for me.

My kids were the same.
I enjoyed this series.
Thank you!
I, again, enjoyed this video of yours. I memorized your thought: "Maintenance equals manageability, overhaul equals overwhelmed." So true.
Thank you! I’ve thought of it several times since then as well.
