I worked in the Residential & Secure Sector during the time this individual's describing. At no point did I ever seem ANY Young Person handcuffed or fixed to a chair. Being removed from a class or public area & placed in a safe hold was a last resort. There would be a Duty Manager there to observe, that no rules were broken & everyone involved had to summit a written report of ALL that happened. Lawyers, Parents & Legal Carers also had access to this information. Listening to this individual saddens me, as plenty of troubled Kids, made different choices to his & have went onto bettet lives. Running away, fighting & becoming involved in crime was all his choice. Someone needs to take responsibility for their actions. No system's perfect but I can assure you 100s of thousands of Taxpayers money would've been spent on him, while trying to keep him safe. For whatever reason he chose not to engage. I have friends that Fostering, ALL are highly regulated & there's no way abuse would've gone undetected. From listening to him his time in Prison seems to've made him think again. Maybe deep down, he's realised the chances he'd lost. His last message was insightful. I hope things finally turn around for him 🤞
There are always two sides to account for in a situation ship like this , I can’t comment as I’ve never lived through those experiences so wouldn’t know how I would react

They ALL agreed that at no point were the physically or mentally abused during the period this guy was in care or before & after. The only place, in Scotland, that this sort of behaviour occured would've been Kerelaw which was closed down in 2006. Two members were jailed for a total of 28 years. This guy clearly states he WASN'T there & was taken into care AFTER the place was closed down. Again the sad thing's this guy's helping to perpetuate the myth that Scots are a burden on England. That we're all a bunch of Alcoholic Druggies that're unemployed. Which just isn't true 😞

Like I said my friend I stay in one of the worst estates in Edinburgh granton, few months ago 2 people just got shot at the pub at the bottom of my street 1 died, it was all over the news, he ex girl is a little famous girl who was the youngest in Britain to win the lottery, were a stay it's crazy, someone last week was running about stabbing 2 people at the local park, police cars even get smashed up, but hit me up, I have kids and a wife but I never been in big trouble, but if you want someone sensible to show you around let me know.

I really really hope you somehow manage to find people that want out of that situation and do something together that will make a positive difference to your area and the youths coming after you. Buy crypto. Invest. Build positive forces in your area and society. I can't imagine how difficult that would be though when everyone has the same fucked up mindset.
