Ferula or Todaroa is a huge apiaceae plants from Canary Islands, and have a perennial apiaceae shrub called Bupleurum salicifolium that looklikes a Euphorbia balsamifera 🥰
Beautiful plant. I am very fond of the species in the family Apiaceae (Umbelliferae), with their large flower heads with minute but very perfect flowers. I have lots of varieties growing wild in my area, not that particular one though as it is endemic to Madeira but vey similar. The plants look wonderful in your garden.
@@Rodoriginal101 No, I have not notice anything adverse with melanoselinum but many plants are poisonous. It is important to teach children not to eat unidentified plants.

Thanks very much for the information. I bought a seedling and had no idea what to do with it.
A great gem to get your hands on. Good for you!
Such a beautiful plant. Unfortunately not hardy in my northern US location!
That's a shame

Umbelliferous plants are wonderful. Happy growing!
Something new. That is great. Thank´s a lot.
You are welcome!
Can it be kept solely in pots? I got a seedling not realising quite how big they are and all our garden soil is sand! So no good to plant in
I'm sure it can be kept in a big pot. Just pot on as needed
Very interesting plant. You've got something else that is a monocarpic perennial, no? An Agave relative, IIRC, but I can't recall the name.
Well, I suppose an agave is monocarpic too. They live a long time before they flower but then they die :/
Is it phototoxic? thank you
No idea
@@GardeningatDouentza did you get any blisters after handling it in summer heat? I wonder if it is children friendly, thank you :-)
