I did NOT got selected, Despite getting better results than many of those who were with me but I'm gonna be honest and I really don't care what everyone thinks of me anyways... With all due respect The fact is that I wasted my time during all this process to become a Legionnaire Because when I was inside there I knew deep inside that I could get something or be better than what the Legion could offer me, I knew I deserved more and I could only realize it when I was there, I didn't wanted to talk about it with anyone inside I've made a lot of Good friends and to be honest we felt like real Brothers, specially with the Russians, South Africans 2 Brazilians and one American, I did not got impressed by the leadership and also by the majority of the dudes that showed up, Most were unprepared and malnourished!!! I did not had a bad experience overall but it was a really solid lesson for me!
Saludos amigo y visto tu comentario, tu me podrías colaborar como es el proceso de selección y como me debo preparar o es muy difícil entrar a la legión,
The most frequent reason for rejecting a candidate is low IQ rather than health issues, drug use or a criminal record. I learnt this from an ex-legionnaire, a cpl. who served 10 years in the Legion mostly in 13th DBLE & spent a while at the recruit reception base giving basic instruction and the weeding out of low IQ recruits ASAP was considered a top priority.
@@crimsonhawk4912 I have read that very few Legionaries make it to corporal on their initial 5 year enlistment contract and the majority of Legionaries do not reenlist for a 2nd 5 year term
Yah man alot of young men's romantic dreams crushed but for sure respect to the legion at least they give people a chance but it is what it is hey carry on with life they not the end of the line don't give up on life!
They can be more selective now and ask questions as no more indochina or Algeria Theatres of war less men needed quality rather than the Quantity needed just after ww2 Taking ex waffen ss!
I don't think ex waffen ss would be a great example of quantity over quality, a soldier who just fought in ww2 would be better than a recruit with no experience.

after the result in Vietnam, the foreign legion doesn't want you

Я в такую систему не пошел бы. Не люблю подчинение и авторитеты.😊
I thought the legion gives 2nd chance to those who want it ?
only to those who pass the selection
