Truly one of the most beastly massive inventions of man to ever touch the earth! Truly bad ass!!! Would have loved to see this amazing spectacle ! Thanks for sharing
Rotor-wash was massive that close. All of us standing near the fence line got blown backwards. Camcorder's internal gimbal saved the video of the landing.
I was on the highway heading to the Airshow on jones beach when the first two Seahawks flew over head and landed. I really wanted to come to this event but couldn’t be in to places at once. Thanks for the video.
No, I say thank YOU for watching. Share this video link please. I was at the Friday practice show at Jones Beach. I shot the whole show there. If you check back on my channel Friday or Saturday, 6/1-2, you will see my version of the Blue Angels video. Editing it as I reply now. Remainder to follow.
I'd like to see a Osprey take off and land one of these days. (From a very safe distance of course). That'd be nice to record. Maybe the next time they bring it to the NY area.
US Marines Land At Eisenhower Park 5/23/15; US Marines Depart From Eisenhower Park 5/23/15. I liked my location better than my 5/27/17 spot. (Osprey in those years)
I know that this is an optical illusion. Freezing a frame would make it looks like the helicopter rotor in flight has 6 or more blades. Stationary on the ground you see only 4 blades.
The frame rate on the camera is everything. All of my hundreds of aircraft vids. I’ve did over the years. I try to film at 60fps + Now. I would have to go back and look but I nailed it down on what frame rate I need for 200-380 rpm range. One helo I would video the rotors turned at 450rpm which is really fast for helos. Most are in the 200 rpm range for the main rotor. The tail is 4000-6000rpm. I can’t remember if 30fps makes it like this. I basically just change the frame rate until I get the rotors to appear as you see it in real life. Now if the frame rate is too slow. You get this weird Frozen slow motion jumping. I actually like this frame rate but it could be a hair faster. You don’t wanna be able to identify blades at all.
What a magnificent display. Very nice.
Thank you very much.

Great experience, Chris!
I like how those sea stallion helicopters do their mine sweeping technique of looking for mines under water
I see these helicopters everyday at Norfolk naval base
Great job Chris! Richard.
Very nice coverage.. Good video
Iron-horse
Nice! We missed all this because of traffic. :(
Enjoy it vicariously. I liked viewing your Passport to Taiwan clips.

I remember they had a one I think was a CH-47 Chinook at the park that thing landing and taking off was cool cause it was huge lol
Awesome! Thank you for sharing. Semper Fi.
I was there at Eisenhower Park Helicopter Landing
I hope this preserves some memories.:)
Look at the size difference between the Seahawk and Sea Dragon.
The downdraft from the rotor blades knocked most of us over despite the fact that were were on the safe side of the security fence.
These Are Sikorsky S-70 Black Hawks And S-65 Sea Dragons
I would not know the specifics.
They have minesweeper ch54 helo coming in
That is an MH-53E Sea Dragon.
Remember Ch 53e stallion 1 very need place lunglei centre.
Bruh I remember one time they jumped from the helicopter a lot high now it was closer to the ground oof.
I miss the most interessting part. Engine start and engine stop
Helicopters !!!!!!!
