I love that you filmed this in portrait mode. I have no interest in seeing what is to the right or left. You captured Steve's shoes and the ceiling in every shot. Great work.

Best comment. They made a video about the shop, only you can't see the shop, lol

I was actually quite shocked to see this entirely shot in portrait. Anyone that shoots video in portrait (and on a cell) is just about the newbie-est thing anyone could ever do. I would think EB would have done better than that. It's a video about his shop...but a lot of that information is out of frame.

I enjoyed it in portrait and didn't mind or notice . not all information is absorbed visually.

Impressive story. Did you really talk about a 3/4 million dollar motor... blown away! I appreciate the down to earth style of all of this... Thanks! Congrats on your success

I would love to see one of the V16's built in real time. I knew Steve had developed and built that engine but had never heard him talk about it really. That huge crank and cam are freaking SWEET!

Great vid and overview of the shop, I'm glad you mention the price range for the SMX, I'll have to go count up my piggie bank (dang!). I wish the vid was filmed in landscape orientation though.
One question for both the SMX and SML's in street applications is how much power could they put out continuously, I would guess that the cooling system is good enough to drive down the highway comfortably but it really doesn't take much power to do that, lets say you had a truck you wanted to do drag and drive events with a trailer, could they handle that?

Quick trivia, the Performance Trends dyno software SM uses was originally developed by myself and Kevin at Performance Trends for use on a home built dyno for tuning go kart engines.

I really like PT concepts, I just never could get my mustang dyno across the finish line with repeatable success. Now its gathering dust unfortunately.

the last minute about starting and running a business is I guess the most overlooked.
Do it the way it should be done
    Taking care of problems
    Taking care of customers
    Striving for the best
    Be HONEST
And charge what you have to ( otherwise your always tight on money and the customer is smiling )

Impressive shop you have there and its clean and not full of stuff you dont use its all got a purpose and still not a production line. Thats a lot of engines per year esp as you concider there all bispoke units and one offs. Great video as usual a real insite of a company on top of its game.
