Love mine. I also own a 1973 FG200, and you can hear the historical FG sound on the FG5. in my opinion sounds better than a FG2000 that was top of the line in the early seventies
Waiting for the restock for 2021. Already paid my money, now I just have to wait for Yamaha to send it to the US and for the company to ship it out to. my local store. I can't wait. I have a Yamaha FG-44s that I would put up against many high end acoustics. It needs work though. I've been playing it almost every day since 1996. There's a crack that runs from the bottom of the guitar to the sound hole and it needs a re-fret. Will I spend $500 on a guitar that cost $350 in 96? Absolutely. It is a magical guitar. So, one of the reasons I bought the FGX5 is so I can let this guy out of the house to go to the guitar hospital. I need an acoustic that might keep up with my 441s. I'm also excited about the pickup system. I've never owned an acoustic with a pickup. They usually sound terrible. This one does not. It will suit my purposes perfectly. Thank you for the demo. Really nice playing. Fantastic sound. I'm starting to learn some bluegrass, and I'm loving it.
I just got one. They're fantastic guitars worth twice the price.
Great playing Mike!

Sounds gorgeous. Were you using the factory strings?
Great job playing, great tone...Is this guitar available? I have been looking for one...None to be found
Hi there, thanks! Yep this is available on the Fantasie Music Reverb store I've got linked in the description!
My favorite guitar. Leaves a Martin D-18 in the dust.
Do you use any particular STRINGS?
@@joshvowles I've tried a bunch of different alloys. But 80/20 is still probably my favorite.
@@gregt4202 I put on 13 gauge MM13 Vintage Martin strings set a year ago to try out and never looked back again. Peace✌
😂
Awesome. I’ve got one on order. What song is that...I need to learn it.
Hey thanks! This is a little bit of a tune called Billy in the Low Ground.
