Your doll pages have become my favorite and I've noticed my dolls looking better since watching you. I've started adding shading on the clothes and what not. Thanks for the inspiration.
Love how you did her dress. That stamp seems weird to me, if I stare at it too long it looks like she has hooves instead of shoes!! I think it's the angle of how the shoes were drawn lol 😂
I just started to create tags and cards with these wonderful dolls, fuzzy cutting is not my forte right now but I notice that when I am done the neck seems weak from me turning it or something....any advice. Thank you and please keep putting more videos so I could learn from you. You are amazing.
The neck does seem to be the weakest point of the dolls. On one doll I messed up coloring the hair after adhering the "clothing" and instead of tossing the doll, I stamped her again, colored the head and cut and adhered it to the first doll. I noticed that doll's neck had much more stability. You could always double up the head to make it stronger. I work at trying not to turn the head too much when cutting or handle the neck/head area too much, which seems to help as well. HTH!
LOVE that Aiden doll! In fact I went right out and ordered him! One question though? What block are you using to stamp these big images? I love the way you layer your dolls! So inspiring! Thanks!
That's a good question! I've updated the supplies below the video and also on my blog. I have been using the Tim Holtz 4x8 clear stamp from the set linked below but I just ordered the Prima 4x8 clear holder block because I love the handle on it! I'll be showing it in upcoming paper doll art journal videos. Hi Nichol, love your Doll Journal. I've looked thru your blog to try to see which comic you use for the hair and skin with no success. Is it possible for you to send that to me please. Thank you for sharing. Annett
Cuteness all around - where is the "Fabulous" button??? I would love to see the journal you were talking about, I am thinking of doing a December Daily this coming month. Eeeekkk… why am I so nervous about doing one of those?!@#$%^&* Hugs, Gale The Happy Stamper :)
I am using a really old October Afternoon patterned paper with text on one side. It's no longer available however I've linked to a bunch of other text papers I have and use for my dolls in my post that corresponds with this project here: nicholmagouirk.typepad.com/things_that_really_matter/2014/11/paper-doll-art-journaling-with-julie-nutting-doll-stamps-november-card-kit-leftovers-video.html
