Excellent film of some unusual movements there - Crewe always has a surprise to share! What does disappoint is the sheer amount of green shrubbery littering the tracks and spaces in between. I can only imagine what damage their root systems and insect ecosystems are doing to lineside cables and infrastructure. Not to mention how 'tatty' it makes the railway appear!
There are two words which ought to get those advancing suggestions banned from all positions of responsibility, the people who employed them sacked and those whose activities have occasioned anyone to feel the need to utter them removed from any position of power .... and those two words are "deferred maintenance".
WHERE do I start with this one?? We kick off with an extremely dramatic shot of a modern coupling operation, which is closely followed by a WCR loco and its chaperone. Then we get the magnificent Midland Pullman snaking its way through the station, which eclipses the TfW train from Cardiff. And then it's the "Hold the Front Page" footage of the majestic Blue Peter at the front of what must be one of the strangest trains ever hauled by a heritage steam engine. That pair of choppers look marvellous, too. I'm off to speak to a building society about remortgaging my house in order to afford a trip on both the Pullman and the A2.... An excellent film. Thanks for sharing.
60532 looks immaculate. A credit to everyone involved in its return to the mainline. 😊

That Pullman driver was very jolly.
Well, that was certainly a mixed bag of traction...right place-right time...well done. 🙂
