If you really want silly Archer, run with no missiles on the Tempest at all. Four ML, 2LL and really confuse everyone expecting missiles. 325 light engine + light ferro, 20 DHS, -10 armor from max. Heat efficient, thick armor, and nobody expects sneaky pew pew Archers...
At 3:42 that really was a Cadet! An unfortunate effect of PSR reset is that Cadets get thrown in with experienced players. Now it has been about 3 weeks and most of the top players have migrated to T1, especially those playing with groups of friends.This has now resulted in less stomps for T3 players. Please, please PLEASE! Do my favorite build from the top table game, since due to budget restraints and lack of skill, I wouldn't be able to pull it off online. It's a Jenner IIC with 4 medium laser and 2 SRM-6 Streaks. My original build had it fully armored with full movement for its weight class and no heat issues. I would love to see how it would do in a online battle in the hands of a experienced veteran. Thanks.

The Archer has some mad armor quirks which really makes it a beast. The only drawback is the high shoulders/door delay although with MRMs you are not snap firing so much like with SRMs but throwing them into the target.
I don't understand how could the iv4 kill you so fast... you still had armor on both the CT and remaining side before that kill shot and almost full structure... one salvo alone couldn't do that... my guess is someone from your team messed up your side torso structure from behind split second before the mrm's hit...
The Archers are really good Mechs especially the Tempest with ECM (the armor quirks are great) but I musst say the opened sidetorso flaps are so ugly...

Unfortunately the match score is heavily biased towards damage. This has resulted in a swing towards larger mechs for those farming match scores trying to increase their Teir. Do not be offended as going up to an upper Teir will result in more difficult opponents and longer times to get a match. Just have fun playing the mechs that suit your play style.
Yeah there's no real advantage to going up in tier apart from an ego boost. People that play mechs that specifically increase match score for bragging rights are kinda in for a shock when they realise they're getting smashed every game by pros. Not worth it for me I'd rather have fun. If there was some sort of initiatives for being higher tier like rewards at the end of a season by all means

What's funny is I've had more tech issues with games from AAA developers than I have with MWO. I don't know if it's my PC, my internet connection, or what; but I've never had the persistent issues with MWO that others claim are there. /shrug

I did enjoy it a fair bit in 2013 or 14 and run with lance of purple bois. But if your having then by all means enjoy the game. I'm just venting out that PGI is still a bad developer for this franchise.

I've got an LRM10 in my Tempest's CT to help sell that illusion.
Next time when you are overheating and you're overridden, turn off override instead of powering down. That way you avoid blowing yourself up.

Weirdo thing for me... MAD 9M Stealth absolutely yes... on the Archer T I dont feel comfortable
to ride the heat line to the same limit.

I won a game with like 120 damage dealt, 26 damage on my mech and two captures. Lost rating. Kinda offended
