One of the cheekiest units i now decided to look up closely is the cannonneer, it has a bit of fantasy elements since it's design is mainly like a ship's cannon. However it's usage on field is akin to a French Culverin, a 15th century made weapon by the french army, The long slick barrel allowed easier portability carried by cartwheels as it was lighter and could easily be operated by a crew of two. The main advantage over cannons besides portability was that it could shoot lighter cannonballs with immense force allowing it to have much more projectile velocity, range and precision than a standard cannon that shot in a bigger arc. Which is what this unit shoots like, however the only fantasy element is that it can be shot at buildings with more explosive rounds as Culverins were mainly an anti-navy, anti-cavalry and anti-siege weapon, notably designed to target at other things than buildings.
