    I was originally looking for a reverse rotation tiller due to youtube but my dealer talked me out of it. I am so glad i listened and went with the forward one. The biggest thing is if the tiller hits a rock, it will more likely kick it out instead of suck it in and jam against the tiller body. Many rocks in northern WI.

    • @MyClutteredGarage
      @MyClutteredGarage  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's right, Andrew. Although I don't have many rocks here, I think the same about roots or other debris. I'm perfectly. happy with mine too! Thanks for watching. -Ed

    I rented a tiller like this one and it seemed the forward rotating tiller couldn't penetrate as deep as I was wanting. Next year I'll probably end up buying one most likely a reverse. Oh and by the way, the person who said any tiller you get you'll love is Tractor Time with Tim.

      Very nice! I think I do recall TTWT saying that now! Yes I think the reverse rotation tillers pull themselves into the ground. They also do a nicer job on the first pass. Just have to be more cautious of rock and debris. I have no regrets with this one though. Thanks for watching and commenting!

    You will love your tiller, always amazes me at the great job they do. I bought a reverse rotation, 84" for my L4060 and I used it to prep a 20 acre field. Not what a real farmer would do but the hay field turned out really nice.

    Great video. I have a 72” forward rotating tiller on my L3830 Kubota. In the 40’s Troy Bilt studied this question, forward or reverse. The reverse is better in one situation, breaking new ground. In all others the forward does a better job amending the soil by working in compost, fertilizer, etc. also depth regulation is easier and the tractor doesn’t have to work as hard. Keep up the good work

    Hello MCG, I just found you channel and loving it! I am going to be your 11th subscriber and 11 is my lucky number. I have a few notes for you: 1. I always engage my implements at lowest rpm so there is less shock to the system, then rev it up. 2. The back gate primarily sets the amount of tillage. The more you close it, the finner tilling you get. 3. Like me, you tend to drive a bit too fast! Your doing great and it's easy to see that your channel is going to be a HUGE success! :)

    thanks for the vjo, I just ordered a BX and an RGA 1250 to go along with it. I have had basically no luck finding any videos on these tillers other than this one! Seems crazy that no one is talking about these tillers, they check so many of the boxes often suggested; Heavy, 6 tine, gear drive, and good RPM. only info I cant find is if the bearings are sealed or not.

    • @MyClutteredGarage
      @MyClutteredGarage  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks, Shane. I can only guess that the bearings are sealed. I love this tiller. Congrats on your purchase! Thanks for watching. -Ed

    have you hit roots or Rock with it, should get mine RGA1258 first week of november for my L2501. I have a lot of rocks 2 to 5 inch that i picked with my BB2560 in the past month but hard to pick them all .

    • @MyClutteredGarage
      @MyClutteredGarage  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Not a lot of natural rocks here, but I have hit some as well as a few buried pieces of metal. The forward rotation tiller is great because it bounces over. But it'll grab your attention when it happens! You'll love it. Thanks for watching. -Ed

    That’s a pretty good size rotary tiller. It’s way wider than your back tires. Does the b2601 pull it good?

    Thanks for making these videos im moving into our first acreage in three weeks and can’t wait. Ive bought a used 2305 with implements ti start with. Question I have is tilling, when you use a roller won’t the grass grow through right away or does the tilling kill the grass off until the area is seeded again? Sorry if it’s a stupid question but I’m a newbie for now. Great videos again thank you.

    • @MyClutteredGarage

      Congrats on your new venture! Not a silly question at all. The tiller uproots the vegetation, so it dies. I've heard that it can be beneficial to shallow till once, then wait a couple days until the vegetation dies, then till again. I appreciate your comments! -Ed

    with the forward rotation, your tractor wont have to work so hard. the tiller is trying to push you forward. perfect for our smaller (lighter) tractors.

    • @MyClutteredGarage
      @MyClutteredGarage  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you. That was one of the reasons my dealer recommended the forward rotation tiller. Also, it can more easily "bounce over" obstacles like rocks, debris, or roots.

    changed my RGA1258 for RGA1266 and my L2501 for MX6000 and also have a BX2380 for mowing grass . Do you thing the RGA1266 would do the job on BX2380 on already made garden or will it be too much ? As long that i have my MX6000 i am ok but one day i maight keep only the BX. i till my garden in fall and in the spring.

    • @MyClutteredGarage
      @MyClutteredGarage  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I’m no expert but that seems like a lot for a BX. Maybe if you take it slow, keep your PTO at 540 RPM… and if the soil is already loose. It’s also a lot of weight. I really think a 48” tiller would be the max size for a BX. Thanks for watching and good luck!

    • @MyClutteredGarage
